Mayor Mironov thanked all of the
participants and event sponsors for their support of this event and
Womanspace noting, the lighting of luminaries is both a means to raise
funds for Womanspace as well as a unique means of increasing public
awareness of the ongoing presence of domestic violence in all of our
communities. The event also is intended to provide a symbol of hope and
to spotlight the available support and resources for those individuals.
