EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP PARTICIPATES
IN WOMANSPACE COMMUNITIES OF LIGHT

East Windsor Mayor Janice Mironov, joined by Council Members Perry Shapiro and Marsha Weinstein, Mercer County Freeholders Ann Cannon and Dan Benson, Police Chief William Spain and members of the police department, Township employees, and members of the East Windsor Domestic Violence Victim Response Team, among others, participated on Sunday, December 13 in the Womanspace-sponsored “Communities of Light”. They gathered to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building, with the lighting taking place at 5:00 p.m.

Mayor Mironov thanked all of the participants and event sponsors for their support of this event and Womanspace noting, “the lighting of luminaries is both a means to raise funds for Womanspace as well as a unique means of increasing public awareness of the ongoing presence of domestic violence in all of our communities. The event also is intended to provide a symbol of hope and to spotlight the available support and resources for those individuals.” Womanspace is the primary domestic violence and sexual assault service provider in Mercer County.
