The New Jersey November 3, 2020 General Election will be primarily by vote by mail due to the COVID-19 health emergency.  A prepaid return postage vote by mail ballot will be mailed by the Mercer County Board of Elections to ALL ACTIVE registered New Jersey voters.

East Windsor Township residents may return their vote by mail ballot in one of four ways:

  • By US mail, postmarked by November 3, 2020 and received by Mercer County Board of Elections.
  • At one of the listed secure Drop-Box locations in Mercer County by 8 p.m. on Election Day:
    • East Windsor Court building - 80 One Mile Rd, East Windsor, NJ
    • Hamilton Golf/Call Center – 5 Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr Way, Hamilton, NJ (next to the Hamilton Library)
    • Hamilton Municipal Building - 2090 Greenwood Ave., Hamilton, NJ
    • Ewing Municipal Building - 2 Jake Garzio Dr., Ewing NJ (in front)
    • Hightstown Firehouse #1 - 140 N. Main St., Hightstown, NJ
    • Hopewell Township Administration Building - 201 Washington Crossing Pennington Rd, Titusville, NJ
    • Lawrence Municipal Building - 2207 Lawrenceville Rd (Route 206), Lawrence, NJ (North side-Right Side of Municipal Building)
    • Robbinsville Township Municipal Building - 2298 Route 33 (parking lot side beginning October 2)
    • Trenton- Courthouse Annex - 209 S. Broad Street (in front), Trenton, NJ
    • Trenton - City Hall - 319 E. State Street, Trenton, NJ (in back near Municipal Clerk's Office)
    • Trenton - Henry J. Austin Center - 321 N. Warren St., Trenton, NJ  08618 (Corner of Tucker)
    • Trenton Central - 400 Chambers St., Trenton, NJ (across from McDonald's)
    • Princeton Municipal Building - 400 Witherspoon Street, Princeton, NJ
    • West Windsor Municipal Complex - 271 Clarksville Road, West Windsor, NJ (Between Municipal Building and Senior Center)
  • At the Mercer County Board of Elections, 1440 Parkside Avenue, Ewing, NJ on November 3, 2020 by 8 p.m.
  • At your designated polling location between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Election Day

You may also vote in-person on Election Day at your designated polling location by provisional ballot (paper ballot).  Individuals with disabilities will have access to an ADA conforming voting machine.

Important Dates and Deadlines:

October 13:  Last day to register to vote.  The Superintendant of Elections office located at 640 South Broad Street will be open and accepting voter registration until 9:00 p.m.

October 28:  Mercer County Board of Election, Mercer County Clerk and Mercer County Superintendent of Election offices will be open 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for walk-in ballot voting through vote by mail.

October 31:  Mercer County Board of Election, Mercer County Clerk and Mercer County Superintendent of Election offices will be open 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for walk-in ballot voting through vote by mail.

November 3:  Deadline to mail your completed vote by mail ballot.  Deadline to apply in person for mail-in ballot before 8:00 p.m. at the Mercer County Clerk’s office, 209 South Broad Street, Trenton, NJ.

November 3… General Election Day, polls are open 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Ballot drop boxes will be locked at 8:00 p.m.
