EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP. Mayor Janice S. Mironov announced that East Windsor Township is holding a Township Document Shredding and Electronics Recycling Event, on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine, at the East Windsor Township Senior Center, located at 40 Lanning Boulevard.

Free document shredding will be available to East Windsor residents to dispose of unwanted and unneeded documents. Paper shredding is on a first come first serve basis. It will be accepted from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. or until truck is full. The service is for East Windsor residents only. No commercial entities are permitted.

Electronics Recycling is limited to only televisions, computers and accessories, monitors, fax machines, cell phones, VCR’s, cable boxes and telephones. Residents will also be able to dispose of fluorescent bulbs and household batteries. 

RISE will have trucks on-site to collect clothing, shoes, blankets, housewares (plates, mugs and related items), working appliances, household electronics and usable furniture.  Clothing should be brought in plastic bags.

For efficiency, residents must remain in their vehicles at all times, and have their driver’s license to display as proof of residency.
