Mayor Janice S. Mironov joined restaurant Owner Nicholas Kalyna and General Manager Eric Masotes, along with Council Members, to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Town Diner. The restaurant is located on Route 130 North, across from the recently renovated Windsor Center, home to a new grocery store and Retro Fitness and coming soon Ross Dress for Less and Smashburger.
The new diner is owned by Nicholas Kalyna, a 37 year resident of East Windsor, where he and his wife Luba raised their family. General manager Eric Masotes, also an East Windsor resident and 1995 graduate of Hightstown High School, brings to Town Diner over 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry. Town Diner has a large assortment of home-style diner food dishes including breakfast offerings, desserts, salads and soups, sandwiches, wraps and paninis, and a wide variety of entrees.
Mayor Mironov stated, "We are excited that the recently redesigned and upgraded restaurant space located prominently along our Route 130 corridor will be home to Town Diner, a family based and experienced group. Owner Nicholas Kalyna and General Manager Eric Masotes, both long-time residents of East Windsor, are committed to creating a true diner experience for area residents. Route 130 has experienced a host of new businesses and building revitalizations over the past year, and this adds another great plus for our Township.” Mayor Mironov added, “The broad experience and community-minded spirit of everyone involved with this business venture will ensure that Town Diner finds much success in our community.”
New owner Nicholas Kalyna stated, “Our affection for the East Windsor community will be the driving force behind our goal of making Town Diner a popular and successful local establishment. It has always been a dream of mine to open a restaurant in my hometown and I am really looking forward to bringing an affordable, quality and friendly dining experience to my community.”
