New Kohl's Store Coming to East Windsor Township

Mayor Janice S. Mironov announced that a new Kohl’s store is coming to East Windsor Township, to be located in the available space in the East Windsor Village (“Target Center”) on Princeton Hightstown Road County Route 571).  Work is currently actively underway on the new Kohl’s store, which will occupy space next to Patel’s Grocery and is set to open in October of this year.  The East Windsor Village center is situated on the well-travelled Princeton Hightstown Road (County Route 571) just west of Route 130, and includes an impressive mix of tenants including other national retailers as Target, T.J. Max, Famous Footwear, and Kay Jewelers.

Mayor Mironov stated, “We are extremely excited to welcome one of the leading specialty department stores to our Township, which has become an increasingly attractive locale for national retailers due to many factors, including our superior location, the vibrant local economy and our proactive efforts to support and encourage business.  Kohl’s is without doubt among the most well-known and popular retailers of its kind, and will be enthusiastically received by our residents and shoppers in the surrounding communities.”  Mayor Mironov added, “The decision by a well-known success retailer as Kohl’s to site a store here underscores once again East Windsor’s vitality and dynamism for new business growth.  Kohl’s is yet another terrific store that will enhance shopping and service options for local residents.”

Kohl’s has more than 1,100 stores in 49 states.  In addition to offering great national and exclusive brands, all Kohl’s stores are equipped for customers to buy online at Kohls.com and pick up their purchase in store at the customer service desk.

The company indicates that it will begin hiring for full- and part-time positions at the store in July.  Kohl’s is known to support the community through an associate volunteer program and through the Kohl’s Cares merchandise program, which features kid-friendly cause merchandise, with 100 percent of the net profit donated to support children’s health initiatives in communities where Kohl’s does business.
