Smashburger Opens in East Windsor Township in Windsor Center on Route 130

Mayor Janice S. Mironov, joined by Council Members, Mercer County Freeholder Pasquale “Pat” Colavita, Jr., MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Robert Prunetti, Smashburger Vice President of Operations David Damato, Smashburger District Manager Ed Basksh, Smashburger East Windsor General Manager Sean Gallagher, and Smashburger Lead Trainer Chris Simmons, celebrated the grand opening of Smashburger on Wednesday, November 5. The new restaurant occupies 2,800 square feet at the Route 130 entrance of the newly renovated Windsor Center. Smashburger joins other businesses including Retro Fitness, Ross Dress for Less and Staples in the revitalized modernized Windsor Center, at Route 130/571 corner.

Smashburger is known for its “smashed seared and seasoned to order” burgers, along with a menu which includes grilled chicken sandwiches, salads, an array of signature sides including sweet potato fries and fried pickles, and hand-spun Haagen-Dazs shakes. The restaurant also offers localized burgers in each market based upon regional flavors.

Mayor Mironov stated, “Smashburger, an award-winning restaurant recognized by Forbes as one of America’s most promising companies, is another great addition to the many successful and varied group of eating establishments located in East Windsor. There has been a tremendous amount of excitement within the community since the Township announced Smashburger would be opening a new restaurant in East Windsor, a testament to the restaurant’s growing popularity. Their assortment of food offerings and great location are certain to make Smashburger a local favorite in our community.” Mayor Mironov added, “Their decision to open a new restaurant in East Windsor is further demonstrated sign of the attractiveness of the vibrant Route 130 business corridor. We enthusiastically welcome Smashburger to East Windsor and are excited about the ongoing positive business activity and modernized attractive physical improvements at the rejuvenated Windsor Center.”
