East Windsor Township Mayor Janice Mironov Recognizes Women’s History Month

Mayor Janice S. Mironov, joined by Mercer County women officials, Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami-Covello and Mercer County Surrogate Diane Gerofsky, issued a Proclamation recognizing Women’s History Month in March.

Mayor Mironov spoke about the local contributions of the Clerk and Surrogate. Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami-Covello, initially elected in 2006, oversees many services and programs, continually outreaches to our communities, noting that “we appreciate having jointly hosted several Local Passport Days for the convenience of East Windsor residents including again on April 8.” Mercer County Surrogate Diane Gerofsky, serving since 1996, is a diligent hard-working official with a myriad of responsibilities, further noting that “we are pleased to have worked out the presence of a satellite office here at the East Windsor Senior Center.”

The Mayoral Proclamation issued by Mayor Mironov states, “the contributions made by women to our civic, political and cultural life throughout the history of the United States, the State of New Jersey and the Township of East Windsor are noteworthy and have benefited all of us. Women have made important changes in areas including social reform, women’s equality, health care reform, education reform, archaeology and anthropology, business and politics.”
