Mercer County to Begin Old Trenton Road Work in East Windsor Township on or about October 15

Mayor Janice S. Mironov announced that Mercer County will be commencing roadway improvements to Old Trenton Road between Princeton Hightstown Road (Route 571) and the East Windsor/Cranbury border bridge, beginning on or about October 15, weather permitting. The work, which includes underground storm sewer pipe repairs and roadway resurfacing, is expected to take approximately 2 weeks, concluding on our about November 1, weather permitting.

During actual work hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Old Trenton Road will be closed to all traffic other than emergency vehicles and residents living on Old Trenton Road. The road will be fully open at other times and on weekends.

Residents along One Mile Road will be impacted by limited access to Old Trenton Road during construction hours. These residents can proceed south on One Mile Road toward Princeton Hightstown Road. Residents traveling toward West Windsor can then proceed right onto Princeton Hightstown Road. Residents traveling toward Cranbury can then proceed left onto Princeton Hightstown Road then left onto Route 130 North. Since work will start near the bridge and proceed in the direction of Princeton Hightstown Road, right turns only, from One Mile Road onto Old Trenton Road, should be permitted within two to three days after construction commences.
