Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members, joined by Ground Round and East Windsor Recreation Center executives including Recreation Center CEO Michael Little, Ground Round Director of Operations Dennis Tedaro and local Ground Round General Manager Marc Heifetz, celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Ground Round Sports Grille. The new restaurant is located in the former Finnegan’s Restaurant at East Windsor Recreation Centers on Route 130 North, just south of Uncle Bob’s Self Storage.

Ground Round Sports Grille, known for casual family dining, renovated the restaurant with a new façade, redesigned lounge area, separate dining area featuring a television at each table, new signage and site improvements including a new parking lot and landscaping. The restaurant’s menu offers specialty burgers, sandwiches and tex mex, salads, as well as pasta, ribs and chicken, seafood and steak entrees.

Mayor Mironov stated, "We enthusiastically welcome the new Ground Round restaurant to our community. The Ground Round name is synonymous with family dining and their partnering with our bowling center creates a fun atmosphere for people of all ages." Mayor Mironov continued, "Ground Round has plans to expand throughout the state, but their choice to open what is only their second New Jersey restaurant here illustrates East Windsor’s attractiveness to established successful companies. The recent opening of several restaurants and businesses along Route 130 is a terrific signal of the current economic activity along this dynamic business corridor."

East Windsor Recreation Center, LLC CEO Michael Little stated, "We are excited to team up with a family restaurant that everyone remembers. We want families and friends to come back and create new memories. Ground Round restaurants today are stronger than ever because they are all Franchisee owned by local restaurant owners." Ground Round Director of Operations Dennis Tedaro stated, "We are excited to bring the new Ground Round brand to East Windsor. The restaurant includes an extensive menu of fun food, deserts and drinks." Mr. Tedaro continued, "For the sports enthusiast, we have 25 televisions which can be viewed from every seat while fans enjoy the NFL Sunday Ticket and other sporting events. We are THE family place to be, no question about it."
