East Windsor Mayor Janice Mironov Welcomes Lieutentant Governor Kim Guadagno to East Windsor Township to Discuss Economic Development Tools

Mayor Janice S. Mironov was joined by New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno in hosting a New Jersey League of Municipalities-sponsored special business event held at the East Windsor Senior Center on March 5. The event, attended by State and local officials and members of the business community, was initiated to provide specific information on State resources, financial tools and incentives available to local officials to help support and attract business. Lieutenant Governor Guadagno assembled a panel of representatives for the event from various State agencies to speak about the many programs and tools they offer to the business community.

Mayor Mironov stated, “We appreciate the partnership with Lieutenant Governor Guadagno to focus on the important subject of attracting new business to our communities and supporting and growing our existing businesses. Business is a critical component of our towns which generate new jobs, local tax revenue, shopping and manufacturing opportunities, as well as expanding state revenues. The state representatives provided valuable information on specific programs, resources and funding opportunities which can assist local municipalities in attracting and growing business in our communities. Mayor Mironov added, “The Lieutenant Governor has been a great cheerleader for welcoming and bringing new business to our State and a great partner in working with us local officials in enhancing opportunities and the environment for business.”

Participating agencies included the New Jersey Business Action Center, the Economic Development Authority, the Department of Community Affairs, the Treasurer’s Office, the State Library, the Board of Public Utilities and the Small Business Development Center. In addition to speaking about their resources, each representative was available at the conclusion of the format portion to speak one-on-one with attendees.
