Mayor Janice S. Mironov announced the opening of Bottle King, a discount liquor store, and cut the ribbon for the grand opening on Thursday, October 18. Bottle King has occupied the existing 16,750 square foot building south of the Americana Diner on Route 130 North, and performed extensive exterior improvements. This building most recently housed Randall Furniture and Design. In 2011, East Windsor Township awarded the sale of a new Plenary Retail Distribution (Class D) License to Bottle King for $475,000 after an extensive public bidding process. Mayor Mironov, accompanied by Council Member John Zoller, Bottle King Corporate Manager Andreas Kertesz, Bottle King Store Manager Juan Olan, Bottle King Assistant Store Manager Jake Smith, Phelps Construction Group Project Manager Paul Perry and Phelps Construction Group Project Superintendent Luke Stefanacci, cut a ribbon to open the new Bottle King.
According to Mayor Mironov, “Bottle King is an expanding highly successful franchise which has created an attractive modernized look for its new home in East Windsor.” Mayor Mironov continued, “The Bottle King store has located in the vibrant Route 130 business corridor near the intersection with Princeton-Hightstown Road, joining many successful stores and restaurants in East Windsor Township.”
The new Bottle King store in East Windsor, managed by Juan Olan, is the company’s 15th store. Current store hours are Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 10 pm and Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm. Bottle King has 14 other New Jersey locations, including stores in Hillsborough and Middletown.
Over the past 40 years, Bottle King has grown to become the largest New Jersey retailer of wine, beer and spirits. The company’s focus and commitment is to provide quality products at discounted prices. Recently recognized by GQ magazine as one of the “Top 10 Discount Wine Stores in America,” the company offers an array of products, including wines from all over the world and beers from both small and large breweries.
