East Windsor Township Sponsors Suggestion Box Contest for Students

East Windsor Township Mayor Janice Mironov announced that the Township Clean Communities Committee is sponsoring a Suggestion Box Contest for all middle school students, in grades 6, 7 and 8. The Suggestion Box topic is: “How to Increase the Amount of Recycling in Our Community”. Mayor Mironov stated that, “we hope to receive some good productive ideas from our young people about an important subject in all of our communities, so as to help to better protect and preserve our environment.”

Written suggestions must be between 100 and 200 words. First, second and third place winners will receive gift certificates from Barnes and Noble of $75, $50 and $25, respectively. The prizes have been donated by corporate sponsor Shiseido America.

Written ideas should be left by Thursday, October 11 at the Kreps School Administrative Office or the East Windsor Municipal Building, Mayor’s Office. Each essay shall have written on the back the student’s name, address, phone number, school and grade level.

Winners will be notified and awards made by East Windsor Mayor Janice Mironov at a fall Council meeting.
