East Windsor Will Hold Clean up Day Event Saturday, September 29 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Etra Lake Park

East Windsor Township Mayor Janice Mironov announced that the Mayor and Council, in partnership with the East Windsor Clean Communities Committee, will hold a Clean Up Day event on Saturday, September 29, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Etra Lake Park.

The Township encourages individuals, groups and youth groups to participate in this community event. A fun highlight of the Clean-Up Day is that East Windsor is sponsoring a contest with great prizes for individuals and groups which bag the most trash between 10 a.m. and 12 noon. Participants will be provided with gloves and trash bags. Clean Communities t-shirts, giveaways and refreshments will be available.

According to Mayor Mironov, “The purpose of this event is, not only to help clean up the largest park area in East Windsor, but to encourage and instill community pride in residents and young people about the condition and look of our community. This is a terrific opportunity for East Windsor residents to come together to improve the appearance of our Township.”

The 2012 members of the Clean Communities Committee are: Barry Fliegelman, Chairperson; Joseph LaMagna; Judith Miller; Arthur Radford; Richard Warren; Rohit Palayekar, Student Member; William Askenstedt, Director Public Works; Council Liaison Alan Rosenberg, and Mayor Janice Mironov.

Individuals and groups interested in participating can call 443-4000 ext. 237 for information or register at municipal_clerk@east-windsor.nj.us.
