East Windsor Township Mayor Janice S. Mironov to Present State of Township Address at Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce Luncheon Thursday, May 10

Mayor Janice S. Mironov and the East Windsor Chapter of the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce that East Windsor Mayor Janice Mironov will deliver the annual State of East Windsor Township Address on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at a luncheon event at the Holiday Inn East Windsor, located at 399 Monmouth Street, East Windsor, New Jersey.
Mayor Mironov’s annual State of the Township Address will include a report on accomplishments in 2011 as well as the Township’s goals for this year. Among Mayor Mironov’s topics will be updates regarding commercial developments as the Sci-Park Science and Technology complex, Windsor Corporate Office Park, Windsor Center and the Twin Rivers Business Park, and proposed projects such as the Americana Redevelopment complex on Route 130 and Seasons at East Windsor. The Mayor also will discuss the joint Route 33 Corridor Revitalization and Redevelopment Study funded through a $100,000 Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission grant.
Mayor Mironov notes, “I look forward to addressing business updates and how East Windsor is continuing to work to attract quality commercial development which enhances both the tax base of our community and creates job opportunities for our residents.” Mayor Mironov continues, “This event gives another positive opportunity for businesses to learn more about our community and our efforts to be business attractive and business friendly.” Mayor Mironov also will address the Township’s open space program, as well as projects and updates regarding roadway improvements including the widening of the Turnpike at Interchange 8 in East Windsor, recreation and other topics of interest.
East Windsor offers businesses advantages including a central location in New Jersey with quick access to Exit 8 of the New Jersey Turnpike and to Interstate Routes 195, 295 and Route 1. There is also wide variety of commercial, office and industrial sites at comparatively low cost in the Township as well as a diverse and highly skilled work force. The major development corridors in the Township are the Route 571 campus corridor, the Route 130 retail corridor and the N.J. Turnpike/Route 33 corridor which includes both commercial and retail areas.
Networking begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at noon. The program begins promptly at 1 p.m. All members of the business community are invited to attend. The cost of this luncheon is $35 per member paying in advance. The future member rate is $55.
