Mayor Janice S. Mironov proclaimed National Volunteer Week and recognized the volunteer members of the East Windsor Township Clean Communities Advisory Committee for their service and accomplishments. Mayor Mironov noted, “Each year in East Windsor Township we observe National Volunteer Week because we are very blessed to have a great number of citizens who volunteer their time, skills and talents to participate in our government, and during this time we recognize a group or individuals who have embodied the spirit of volunteerism and have particularly contributed to the programs and activities in the Township.”
Mayor Mironov continued, “The Clean Communities Advisory Committee has done an excellent job this past year and has assisted in a great number of programs for the community, including the annual Earth Day Recycling Poster Contest for elementary school students, Township-wide recycling events, Litter Free recognition for local businesses, the Adopt-a-Spot program, participation in the Mercer Green Fest, support of the East Windsor Green Team, and other community outreach initiatives over the course of the year. The volunteer members on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee each bring a great deal to the table individually through their diverse background and experiences, and they exemplify enthusiasm and passion for serving the community. We want to thank all of the tremendous volunteer members for all of the great work that they have accomplished with such a great spirit.”
