East Windsor Township Recognizes 2015 Employees of the Year

Mayor Janice S. Mironov recognized 2015 East Windsor TownshipEmployees of the YearMargaret Miloscia, Executive Assistant to the Township Manager’s Office; Peter Genthe, Assistant General Foreman in Public Works, and Police Sergeant Eric Lion. Mayor Mironov presented the three employees with Proclamations at a public ceremony, stating, “We are very proud of the outstanding service, excellent positive attributes and demonstrated commitment of our 2015 Employees of the Year, who are tremendous assets to the municipal government and to our entire community.”

Margaret Miloscia began her career with East Windsor Township on January 23, 2006 as a Senior Court Clerk in the Municipal Court, thereafter on April 16, 2007 transferred to Police Records and Files as Assistant Systems Administrator, and then on May 6, 2013 due to her exemplary performance and admirable characteristics was promoted to Executive Assistant to the Township Manager’s office. Mayor Mironov’s Proclamation states, “Margaret Miloscia has continuously sought to develop her knowledge, skills, and abilities in order to better serve the municipal government and residents of East Windsor, regularly evidenced by her endless willingness to assume responsibilities outside of and beyond her job description. Margaret displays an exceptional work ethic and dedication to service to East Windsor Township, works late to complete assignments, is task oriented and takes accountability for results, takes tremendous pride in her work, skillfully and unflappably handles inquiries and complaints by the public, and is always readily willing to step up and assist whomever and wherever needed on behalf of the Township. Margaret is regarded as an invaluable resource whose dependability and tenacity are second to none, is constantly relied upon by her colleagues and has rapidly become an enormously valued asset to the manager, elected officials and other employees.”

Peter Genthe, began his career with East Windsor Township on March 22, 2004 as a Laborer and then Driver Laborer in the Sanitation Division of the Department of Public Works, and in 2015, as a result of his demonstrated skills and exemplary service over the prior 11 years, was promoted to the position of Assistant General Foreman. Mayor Mironov’s Proclamation states, “Peter Genthe is the ‘go to guy’ frequently sought after by his colleagues when difficulties arise because of his proven skills in solving problems and advising on future preventative action, is a person who consistently goes above and beyond his job responsibilities and is willing to assist anyone when necessary, especially in emergency situations. Due to Pete’s continuing tremendous work ethic and attitude, superior performance and demonstrated contributions to the Township are underscored by his unprecedented recognition now for the third time as Employee of the Year, having previously earned the honor of Employee of the Year in 2005 and 2011. Peter Genthe is everything one could ask for in an employee -- dedicated, knowledgeable, courteous and professional – in his service to the Public Works Department and to East Windsor Township.”

Police Sergeant Eric Lion, who joined the East Windsor Township Police Department on January 3, 1995, is a Platoon Supervisor in the Uniform Services Division and also serves as the Coordinator for the Field Training Program for new police officers and Supervising Firearms Instructor training fellow police officers in safe and effective firearms use and police tactics. Mayor Mironov’s Proclamation states, “Sergeant Eric Lion handles with enormous professionalism and attention to detail his assignment as a Platoon Supervisor, and demonstrates a particular commitment and passion to teaching young police officers. Sergeant Lion’s deep dedication to his profession and the Township are underscored by his consistent performance of tasks that are above and beyond what is required or expected of him. Sergeant Eric Lion, a committed and conscientious employee who continuously displays a consummate professionalism in his role as a police officer in our community, serves as a model police officer, generating widespread respect and admiration among his colleagues and the community.”
