  1. REMINDER: Deadline to Apply to Vote by Mail is Tuesday, November 1 by Mail and Monday, November 7 by 3 pm in Person at the Mercer County Clerk's Office. Vote by mail application forms can be obtained online at www.njelections.org or from the Municipal Clerk's office (16 Lanning Boulevard). Vote by Mail applications can be obtained and returned and a vote by mail ballot obtained from the Mercer County Clerk's Office located at 240 West State Street, 7th Floor, Trenton. The Mercer County Clerk's Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Extended and weekend hours are offered at the County Clerk's temporary satellite office located at 640 South Broad Street (4th floor) Trenton, on the following dates: Sunday, October 30, 10 am to 3 pm, Wednesday, November 2, 8:30 am to 7 pm, Thursday, November 3, 8:30 am to 7 pm, Saturday, November 5, 9 am to 1 pm and Sunday, November 6, 10 am to 3 pm. All mail ballots must be mailed or returned to the Mercer County Board of Elections, located also at 640 South Broad Street, Trenton, by Tuesday, November 8, 8 pm. The Board of Elections is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, but will be open one-half hour after the extended county clerk satellite office hours and on Tuesday, November 8 until 8 pm, for the purpose of dropping off completed ballots.   2. Gateway Twin Rivers Project Breaks Ground on New 410,300 Square Foot Class A Distribution/Office Facility on Milford Road, directly across from Conair and directly off of the relocated and enlarged New Jersey Turnpike East Windsor Interchange 8. This new facility, to be constructed on 28 acres, will house a state-of-the-art warehousing and distribution center with an attractive modern facade, well landscaped grounds, and will be equipped with the latest in industrial features. The size and scope marks a significant investment by Gateway Twin Rivers, and exhibits strong confidence in the attractiveness and economic vitality of East Windsor for business. The Gateway Twin Rivers project will generate substantial local tax dollars and new jobs for the area, as well as new patrons for Township stores and restaurants.

  3. Halloween Party at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 Tomorrow Saturday, October 29, from 11 am to 3 pm, Rain or Shine, at 69 Twin Rivers Drive. The event will include fire truck rides, hay rides, Sparky the Fire Dog, arts and crafts, games, hot dogs and snacks, D.J. and dancing.   4. East Windsor Township Kicks Off Participation in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 5. Residents can support the event by purchasing candles and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 5 at 5 pm to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building, followed by refreshments. Citizens can participate by purchasing luminary kits, containing six candles each, for $10 at any time at East Windsor Police/Municipal Court Building (80 One Mile Road) and bringing luminary kits to the event. All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals affected by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.   5. East Windsor Will Hold Free Rabies Clinics for dog and cat owners on Saturday, November 5 from 1 pm to 3 pm at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 at 51 One Mile Road and on Saturday, November 12 from 1 pm to 3 pm at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 at 69 Twin Rivers Drive. Owners will be required to show a certificate of previous rabies vaccination; otherwise vaccinations of one year duration only will be provided. For safety, all animals must be properly restrained by leash or carried.   6. Mercer County Improvement Authority Holds Electronics Recycling/Paper Shredding Day on Saturday, November 19 from 9 am to 2 pm, Rain or Shine, in Parking Lot 4, South Broad Street, Trenton (directly across from County Administration Building at 640 South Broad Street). Accepted electronic items include televisions, VCRs, computers and monitors, laptops, keyboards, circuit boards, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, phones, camera equipment, microwaves, and stereo equipment.   7. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees. Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.   8. Township Recreation Department Offers Trip to Dave and Busters at the Franklin Mills Mall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Thursday, November 10. Open to children grades 4 through 8, the trip will feature visiting the Philadelphia Mills Mall and arcade gaming area. The bus will leave from the Municipal Building, 16 Lanning Boulevard, at 8:45 am and will return at approximately 4:30 pm. The cost is $35, which includes school bus transportation, buffet lunch, $10 arcade card, unlimited video game play and adult supervision.   9. Township Recreation Department Offers Trip to Sahara Sam's Indoor Water Park in West Berlin New Jersey on Friday November 11. Open to children grades 4 through 8, Sahara Sam's features a lazy river, water slides, and a wave pool. The bus will leave from the Municipal Building, 16 Lanning Boulevard, at 8:45 am and will return at approximately 4:30 pm. The cost is $35, which includes school bus transportation, entrance to the Water Park, lunch and adult supervision.
