  1. REMINDER: ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, and polls are open from 6 am to 8 pm. For questions about voting or polling place, call the Municipal Clerk's office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 240.
  2. REMINDER: Deadline to Apply to Vote by Mail in Person is Monday, November 7, by 3 pm at the Mercer County Clerk's Office. Vote by mail application forms can be obtained online at www.njelections.org or from the Municipal Clerk's office (16 Lanning Boulevard). Vote by Mail applications can be obtained and returned and a vote by mail ballot obtained from the Mercer County Clerk's Office located at 240 West State Street, 7th Floor, Trenton, which is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Extended weekend hours are offered at the County Clerk's temporary satellite office located at 640 South Broad Street (4th floor) Trenton, on Saturday, November 5, 9 am to 1 pm and Sunday, November 6, 10 am to 3 pm. All mail ballots must be mailed or returned to the Mercer County Board of Elections, located also at 640 South Broad Street, Trenton, by Tuesday, November 8, 8 pm. The Board of Elections is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, but will be open one-half hour after the extended county clerk satellite office hours and on Tuesday, November 8, until 8 pm, for the purpose of dropping off completed ballots.   3. Novitium Pharmaceuticals Relocates and Expands to 45,000 Square Foot Facility at 70 Lake Drive just off New Jersey Turnpike East Windsor Interchange 8, from a small facility employing 20 people in South Plainfield, NJ. The company now employs 46 workers with plans to grow to 100 workers in 2017 and to add another 100 workers in 2018. Novitium Pharmaceuticals, a new start-up pharma company by longtime industry professionals, specializes in developing and manufacturing generic forms of drugs in dosage forms such as tablets, capsules, oral/topical liquids and creams. In addition to developing and manufacturing generic drugs, Novitium will also market directly to major retailers such as CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid. Extensive renovations are on-going and planned for the existing 45,000 square foot building, consisting of a fit-out of 2,000 square feet for additional office and lab space, followed by a fit-out of 35,000 square feet of space, currently configured as a warehouse, for the manufacture and packaging of pharmaceuticals.

  4. REMINDER: East Windsor Will Hold Free Rabies Clinics for Dog and Cat Owners on Saturday, November 5, from 1 pm to 3 pm at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 at 51 One Mile Road and on Saturday, November 12, from 1 pm to 3 pm at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 at 69 Twin Rivers Drive. Owners will be required to show a certificate of previous rabies vaccination; otherwise vaccinations of one year duration only will be provided. For safety, all animals must be properly restrained by leash or carried.   5. East Windsor Township Will Participate in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 5. Residents can support the event by purchasing candles and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 5, at 5 pm to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard), followed by refreshments. Citizens can participate by purchasing luminary kits, containing six candles each, for $10 at any time at the East Windsor Police/Municipal Court Building (80 One Mile Road) and bringing luminary kits to the event. All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals affected by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.   6. East Windsor Township Police Department Awarded $4,028 State Grant from the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice 2016 State Body Armor Replacement Fund Program for Purchase of Police Body Armor. East Windsor had also been awarded a $9,201.71 grant for purchase of police body armor under the United States Department of Justice Bulletproof Vest Partnership. These funds are used to supplement Township expenditures for the periodic replacement of body armor issued to and used by members of the Township police department.
  7. Mercer County Improvement Authority Holds Electronics Recycling/Paper Shredding Day on Saturday, November 19, from 9 am to 2 pm, Rain or Shine, in Parking Lot 4, South Broad Street, Trenton (directly across from County Building at 640 South Broad Street). Accepted electronic items include televisions, VCRs, computers and monitors, laptops, keyboards, circuit boards, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, phones, camera equipment, microwaves, and stereo equipment.   8. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees. Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.   9. Township Recreation Department Offers Trip to New Jersey Devils vs. Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Game on Thursday, December 22, at 7 pm at the Prudential Center in Newark. This is the Recreation Department's seasons greeting holiday game promo night which includes a photo on the ice after the game. The bus will leave from the Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) at 4:30 pm and return at approximately 10:30 pm. The $75 fee includes transportation, a ticket for entrance to the game in Section 109 or 114, Rows 5 to 8, and adult supervision for unaccompanied children. Children under 5 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is online, on a first come first serve basis, at (CLICK HERE).   10. Township Recreation Department Offers Trip to "Disney on Ice: Follow Your Heart" on Wednesday, December 28, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The bus will leave from the Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) at 9 am and showtime is 11 am. The $45 fee includes admission ticket in Club Box 11 (with lounge and private bathroom), transportation and adult supervision (any child under 5 must accompanied by an adult).
