  1. Lightbridge Academy Opens on December 1, on Route 130 Northbound at Old Cranbury Road.  Lightbridge Academy, a 9,934 square foot center, provides child care and enrichment and learning experiences for children ages  6 weeks through pre-Kindergarten.  The Center offers extended hours of 6:30 am to 6:30 pm.  Established in 1997, Lightbridge Academy provides early education and child care to children ages six weeks through pre-kindergarten, as well as special programming for children up to 10 years old during school holidays, breaks and summer camp.  The company franchised in 2011 in an effort to expand their distinctive concept throughout the Northeast, and currently has over 70 child care centers either open or in development throughout Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.  For further information, call (609) 448-4941 or visit http://lightbridgeacademy.com/locations/east-windsor-nj

  2. East Windsor Township Annual Reorganization Meeting Is Scheduled for Tuesday, January 3 at 5:30 pm at the East Windsor Township Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard).  The public is invited to attend the largely ceremonial meeting at which the Township Council makes appointments to Township boards and committees, and performs various recognitions.  Light refreshments will be provided following the meeting.
  3. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees.  Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.  Residents interested in volunteering can obtain an application form from the municipal clerk or can fill out this form (CLICK HERE) and return by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303, or by mail to Mayor Janice S.   4. East Windsor Police Lieutenant George Cory Paieda and Sergeant Ryan Mattek Promoted to Fill Vacated Positions Created by Promotions and Retirements. Lieutenant Cory Paieda, hired by East Windsor in February 2001, has served in Uniform Services as a Evidence Technician, Field Training Officer, Secondary Officer in Charge, and Primary Officer in Charge.  In November 2012, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, and for the past year has been the Operations Supervisor in Investigative Services.  Lieutenant Paieda has a Bachelor's of Science Degree from Walden University and Master of Administrative Science Degree from Farleigh Dickinson University.  He graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy in May 1998 and formerly served as a police officer in Lambertville City.  Lieutenant Paieda will be assigned as the Operations Commander of Uniform Services.  Sergeant Ryan Mattek, who joined East Windsor in September 2003, graduated from the Cape May County Police Academy in 2002 and previously was a police officer in Chesterfield Township.  Prior to becoming a police officer, Sergeant Mattek served in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of both Operation Southern Watch and Operation Enduring Freedom.  He has served in Uniform Services as a Field Training Officer, and Secondary Officer in Charge.  In October 2011, he was assigned as a Detective to Investigative Services.  He received a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master's Degree of Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  Sergeant Mattek will be assigned as a Platoon Supervisor in Uniform Services.

  5. REMINDER:   Final Township Fall Leaf Collection Passes Are On-going.  Leaves may not be put out after Monday, December 19, to allow crews to finish the final pass by December 23.  (CLICK HERE) for public works schedules.
