  1. East Windsor Completes and Turns Switch on New Police/Court Building Solar Project, on One Mile Road.  The system consists of a 444 kilowatt solar array to the rear of the building on land donated for this purpose by McGraw-Hill.  This solar array is designed to generate 577,093 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, offsetting nearly 100% of the police/court facility's energy use, and resulting in a savings to the Township of approximately $527,933 over the 15 year term of the agreement.  The Township selected this site noting it is the most energy intensive municipal building user, as it operates on a 24/7 basis and therefore provides the greatest opportunity to realize financial savings.  This project, completed and maintained by Altus Power America in conjunction with Dobtol Construction, at no cost to taxpayers, is another prime example of East Windsor Township “going green and saving green.”

Participants should be certain to provide on the back of each poster the student's name, address, phone number, grade level and school attended.  Contest winners will be notified and awards, including a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble donated by Shiseido, will be made by Mayor Janice S.
