  1. REMINDER:   East Windsor Encourages Residents to Support and Participate in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 2.  Residents can support the event by purchasing candles and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 2 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building, followed by light refreshments.  Citizens can participate by purchasing luminary kits, containing six candles each, for $10 at any time at the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) or during work hours Monday to Friday, from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., at the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard), and bringing the luminary kits to the event.  All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals affected by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.  For further information, call (609) 448-5678, ext. 231.


    Purchase "Communities of Light" luminary kits, with six candles, at the East Windsor Township Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) and East Windsor Police/Municipal Court Building (80 One Mile Road) for $10 to raise funds for Womanspace.  East Windsor officials and citizens will assemble on Monday, December 2 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building, as a beacon of hope for the victims of domestic violence and their families. 
  2. Township and Mercer County Will Hold Special Passport Day on Thursday, December 5 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard).  Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello are sponsoring this special Passport Day locally at which the Mercer County Clerk’s Office will process United States passport applications on-site for residents.  Residents can just show up, but are encouraged to call (609) 989-6473 to reserve a specific appointment time.  To apply, residents will need: (1) proof of U.S. citizenship in the form of a state certified birth certificate, a U.S. naturalization certificate or a previous U.S. passport, and (2) proof of identity in the form of a current driver’s license or state issued identification card.  Cost of the passport is $110 for adults, and $80 for minors, plus a processing fee of $35.  Passport photos can be taken on-site if needed for $15 or $10 for senior citizens.  Only checks or money orders will be accepted.  For further information on requirements and documents needed to obtain a passport, visit www.mercercounty.org and click on County Clerk, or call (609) 989-6473. 
  3. REMINDER:   No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 and All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  Garbage Collection for Area #1 residents, normally, on Thursday, November 28, will be on the next scheduled collection day of Monday, December 2.  Garbage Collection for Area #2 residents, normally on Friday, November 29, will be on the next scheduled collection date of Tuesday, December 3.  Visit the Township website (CLICK HERE) for additional garbage collection information. 
  4. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees.  Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.  Residents interested in volunteering can obtain an application form from the municipal clerk or can fill out this form (CLICK HERE) and return by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303, or by mail to Mayor Janice S.   5. Route 130/Hankins Road/Conover Road Realignment Project Work Actively Continues.  According to information from the engineering project management company, Final paving is scheduled for completion during the week of December 2, weather dependent.  Route 130, Hankins Road and Conover Road have been realigned to meet at a single point controlled by a traffic signal and allowing for all left-turn movements.  Drivers are now able to make signal protected left turns from Route 130 South onto Conover Road and from Conover Road onto Route 130 South, with direct access across Route 130 from Conover Road to Hankins Road.  This realignment project includes drainage improvements and the relocation of existing utilities.  The project has been partially funded by a $525,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation. 
  6. Berkshire Bank Recognized for 2019 Platinum Sponsorship of the East Windsor Township Community Summer Event Series at Etra Park.  Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Member John H. Zoller presented Berkshire Bank, located at 18 Princeton Hightstown Road, with a plaque recognizing the bank's support of the Township Community Summer Event Series at Etra Lake Park.

Township Recreation Department Offers Trip to “Disney On Ice: Road Trip Adventure" on Monday, December 30 (for 3 P.M. show) at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  The bus will depart the Municipal Building parking lot (16 Lanning Blvd.) at 1 P.M.  The $62 cost per person includes motor coach transportation and admission to Club Box 11 which has a lounge and a private restroom.  Attendees under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  For more information, call (609) 443-4000, ext. 225 or (CLICK HERE) to register
