- New Route 130/Hankins Road/Conover Road Realigned Intersection Totally Opened as Minor Project-Related Work Items Continue. Route 130, Hankins Road and Conover Road have been realigned to meet at a single point controlled by a traffic signal and allowing for all left-turn movements. Drivers are now able to make signal protected left turns from Route 130 South onto Conover Road and from Conover Road onto Route 130 South, with direct access across Route 130 from Conover Road to Hankins Road. The project has been partially funded by a $525,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
- East Windsor Township Awarded $600,361 Grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation for Roadway Improvements to the Exeter Road area, including Cornwall Drive, Berkshire Drive, Stanford Court, and Surrey Lane. The grant, successfully obtained by Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members, will fund milling and resurfacing the roadways, as well as other associated improvements to concrete curbing and aprons, handicap ramps and drainage. The roadway work schedule will be determined upon completion of New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) required engineering, NJDOT approval, and in coordination with other construction projects in the area.
- East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees. Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse. - East Windsor Township Participated in Womanspace "Communities of Light" on Monday, December 2, weather notwithstanding, to raise funds for Womanspace and focus public awareness on the important issue of domestic violence and services available to victims. Checks of support payable to Womanspace remain enthusiastically welcomed (checks can be dropped off at or mailed to the municipal building all month, at 16 Lanning Boulevard, East Windsor, NJ 08520). Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members, Domestic Violence Response Team members, police officers and area citizens joined at the municipal building to recognize and celebrate the East Windsor sponsored Communities of Light event. Communities of Light, benefiting victims of domestic violence, is sponsored by Womanspace, the primary non-profit organization in Mercer County providing crisis intervention and support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The mission of Womanspace, which is celebrating their 42nd Anniversary, is to provide a comprehensive array of services to individuals impacted by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of women and their families.

- Residents Are Encouraged to Register and Urge Other Residents to Register to Receive E-News Updates. E-News is used for alert communications in significant weather and service impacted situations, as well as generally weekly to provide information on new businesses and stores, roadway projects, grants, special events and other subjects of public interest. - Residents Are Encouraged to Register to Receive Nixle Communications System Alerts, implemented by Mayor and Council, to enable immediate text messages to registered cell phones and email addresses, to alert residents and businesses about safety and health subjects of concern, such as severe weather conditions, traffic disruption alerts, road closures, flooding conditions, power outages and important public health notices, as well as other significant community updates and important announcements. The Nixle communications tool will assist the Township in notifying large numbers of people in real time concerning conditions or issues affecting safety and travel issues. Residents are encouraged to register for the notifications by texting "08520" to the number 888-777 from their cell phone. Residents also can register online (CLICK HERE) to receive the notifications via email and/or mobile phone. IMPORTANT NOTE: Regardless of your zip code, you must register under the zip code 08520 to receive East Windsor related Nixle alerts.
- East Windsor Awarded $5,500 "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" 2019 Year-End Holiday Crackdown Enforcement Grant. The grant, received from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety, is to underwrite salaries of police officers for added enforcement activities directed at the detection and apprehension of intoxicated drivers. The program, which runs from December 6 through January 1, is a statewide campaign aimed at improving public safety by encouraging responsible driving during the 2019 year-end holiday season.
- Recreation Department Offers Trip to “Disney On Ice: Road Trip Adventure" on Monday, December 30 (for 3 P.M. show) at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The bus will depart the Municipal Building parking lot (16 Lanning Blvd.) at 1 P.M. The $62 cost per person includes motor coach transportation and admission to Club Box 11 which has a lounge and a private restroom. Attendees under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
