- East Windsor Township Annual Reorganization Meeting Is Scheduled for Wednesday, January 1 at 2 P.M. at the East Windsor Township Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard). The public is invited to attend the largely ceremonial meeting at which the Township Council makes appointments to Township boards and committees, and does various recognitions. A reception and refreshments will follow the meeting.
- REMINDER: ALL Township Offices Will Be CLOSED on Wednesday, January 1. Residents who normally have bulk collection on Wednesday, January 1 can place bulk items with regular garbage collected on Monday, December 30 or Thursday, January 2. - East Windsor Township Participated in Womanspace "Communities of Light" on Monday, December 2, weather notwithstanding, to raise funds for Womanspace and focus public awareness on the important issue of domestic violence and services available to victims. Checks of support payable to Womanspace remain enthusiastically welcomed (checks can be dropped off at or mailed to the municipal building all month, at 16 Lanning Boulevard, East Windsor, NJ 08520). Communities of Light, benefiting victims of domestic violence, is sponsored by Womanspace, the primary non-profit organization in Mercer County providing crisis intervention and support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The mission of Womanspace, which is celebrating their 42nd Anniversary, is to provide a comprehensive array of services to individuals impacted by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals and families.
- East Windsor Township 2020 New Year's Food Drive Will Kick-Off January 1, 2020 and Continue through January 31, 2020. Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members are asking area residents and businesses to drop off donated non-perishable food items at the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) during business hours, the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) 24/7, or at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 (69 Twin Rivers Drive). Food donations also can be brought to the East Windsor Reorganization Meeting on Wednesday, January 1 at 2 P.M., at the East Windsor Senior Center. The food drive will benefit the food pantries of RISE and St. Anthony's Church, area-based organizations that provide assistance to local individuals and families.
- ALERT: Stockton Street (County Route 571), between Route 130 in East Windsor and Main Street (Route 33) in Hightstown, is CLOSED to through traffic Monday through Friday, from 9 A.M.to 3 P.M., for utility construction. Detours are posted. Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of December, weather dependent.
- Township Leaf Collection Ended on Friday, December 20. Leaves may no longer be placed loosely at the curb. Residents must bag all remaining leaves. These bags must remain open and placed curbside for pick up on your regular garbage collection or bulk collection day. Leaves will be collected in this manner until leaf vacuuming resumes in October 2020. Any questions regarding leaf collection, call the Public Works Department at (609) 443-4000 ext. 215.
- Register to Receive E-News Updates and Urge Other Residents to Register for E-News. E-News is used for alert communications in significant weather and service impacted situations, as well as generally weekly to provide information on new businesses and stores, roadway projects, grants, special events and other subjects of public interest. - Register to Receive Nixle Communications System Alerts, implemented by Mayor and Council, to enable real time text messages to residents and businesses about safety and health subjects, as severe weather conditions, traffic disruptions, road closures, flooding, power outages, and significant community updates. Residents are encouraged to register for the notifications by texting "08520" to the number 888-777 from their cell phone. Residents also can register online (CLICK HERE) to receive the notifications via email and/or mobile phone. IMPORTANT NOTE: Regardless of your zip code, you must use 08520 to receive East Windsor related Nixle alerts.
- Recreation Department Offers Trip to New Jersey Devils vs Washington Capitals Hockey Game on Saturday, February 22, 2020 (for 1 P.M. Game) at the Prudential Center in Newark. The bus will depart from the Municipal Building parking lot (16 Lanning Boulevard) at 11 A.M. The $86 cost per person includes motor coach transportation, a ticket for entry to the game in Section 132 and a NJ Devils drawstring bag. Attendees under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. - Recreation Department Offers Snow Tubing Trip to Mountain Creek on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon, New Jersey. The bus will depart the Municipal Building parking lot (16 Lanning Blvd.) at 8 A.M. The $56 cost per person includes motor coach transportation, 2 hour lift ticket for snow tubing session and lunch. Snow tubing participants must be at least 5 years of age and 42” tall. Attendees under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
