  1. Skechers Outlet Opens in East Windsor Village on Princeton Hightstown Road (County Route 571), just west of Route 130. Skechers, the third largest athletic footwear brand in the United States, operates 19 stores in New Jersey and more than 3,300 locations worldwide. Skechers joins Target, Kohl's, T.J. Maxx and Patel Brothers grocery store in the East Windsor Village shopping center. Current store hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 A.M. to 9 P.M. and Sunday, 11 A.M. to 7 P.M.

  2. East Windsor Recognizes 2019 Employees of the Year -- Laurie Finger, Director of Finance, Randi Gruntzel, Secretary to the Chief of Police, and Jose Jaramillo, Public Works Driver/Laborer. Laurie Finger has managed the financial affairs of the Township since becoming Finance Director in August 2015. Laurie is an invaluable resource to Township elected officials and fellow employees due to her extensive experience and knowledge and is highly regarded by her peers for her commitment to quality and dedication. Laurie takes tremendous pride in her work and exemplifies professionalism in all she does. Randi Gruntzel has served as Secretary to the Chief of Police since joining the Police Department in July 2007. Randi takes pride in serving East Windsor and its residents and performs her duties with compassion and a positive attitude. Randi has distinguished herself in her work providing outstanding service to the Township, enthusiastically assisting the Chief of Police in a highly professional manner. Jose Jaramillo was hired in the Department of Public Works as a seasonal employee in June 2008, and due to his strong work ethic was promoted to full time Custodian in March 2009. Jose is responsible for the care and maintenance of the Township Police/Court building, and assists Public Works with a variety of additional duties when needed. Jose is admired by his colleagues for his diligence, positive attitude, sense of humor, dependability, and demonstrated willingness to go out of his way to assist fellow co-workers whenever needed. Congratulations to our 2019 Employees of the Year!

  3. East Windsor Township and the NJ League of Municipalities Offer Scholarship Opportunities to Junior and Senior High School Students. Three $1,000 scholarships are being offered through the Louis Bay 2nd Future Municipal Leaders Scholarship Competition. This statewide scholarship competition centers on the theme "What My Municipal Government Does Best" and seeks to advance the virtues of elected and volunteer members of the community, while raising awareness of municipal government in general. An appointed committee will select a semi-finalist and forward the semi-finalist's entry to the scholarship committee of the New Jersey League of Municipalities for their consideration. The State League Scholarship Committee will select 15 finalists and 3 winners from the State. A full application package can be obtained from the Municipal Clerk's office at the municipal building (16 Lanning Boulevard) or by calling (609) 443-4000, ext. 238. All entries should be returned to the East Windsor Mayor's Office by Wednesday, March 11.
  4. East Windsor Encourages Community Groups to Participate in 2020 Township Adopt-A-Spot Program. Under this program, participating groups "adopt" a public property and keep it clean during the year. A placard is erected on the site indicating that it has been "adopted by" with the name of the group. The groups are expected to perform clean-up three times per month from April 1 through November 30. Adopt-A-Spot is a great program in not only ensuring public areas of our community are well-maintained, but also has been a wonderful educational tool for teaching young people social responsibility and community pride. To participate, interested groups should send a letter to East Windsor Clean Communities Committee, ATTN: Mayor Janice S. Mironov, 16 Lanning Boulevard, East Windsor, NJ 08520.

  5. East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 Installed New Officers for 2020. Josh Matorin will serve as Chief and Jack Israel will again serve as President of East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 for 2020. Congratulations and thank you to all of the Township's dedicated fire company volunteers!

  7. East Windsor Recreation Department is Accepting Applications for 2020 Summer Camp Positions. The positions include camp supervisors, camp counselors, lifeguards, before and after care camp staff, and (non-paying) counselors-in-training. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Township Recreation Department at (609) 443-4000, ext. 214 or online at (CLICK HERE). Individuals 18 years and older will be subject to a background check. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
  8. Recreation Department Offers Snow Tubing Trip to Mountain Creek on Saturday, February 29 at Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon, New Jersey. The bus will depart the Municipal Building parking lot (16 Lanning Blvd.) at 8 A.M. The $56 cost per person includes motor coach transportation, 2 hour lift ticket for snow tubing session and lunch. Snow tubing participants must be at least 5 years of age and 42” tall. Attendees under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
