  1. REMINDER:   East Windsor Holds "Family Night in the Park" on Saturday, August 5 at 7 pm at Etra Lake Park Featuring Movie "Sing!" on a Large-Screen (raindate Sunday, August 6 at 7 pm).  Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, "Sing!" stars Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey), a dapper Koala who presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times.  Now facing the crumbling of his life’s ambition, he has one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world’s greatest singing competition.  Prior to the start of the movie, there will be inflatable rides, games, and vendors.  In the event of questionable weather, call the East Windsor Information Hotline at (609) 443-4000, ext. 400 after 1 pm the day of the event.
  2. Petco Opens in Windsor Center at Route 130 and Route 571 next to Staples.  Petco, occupying 15,643 square feet, is a leading specialty retailer of premium pet supplies, food, and services.  Petco stores provide a one-stop shopping experience where pet owners can purchase anything from pet food to toys and apparel, while addressing the health and grooming needs of pets.  The new store will offer dog training areas, adoption centers, and grooming salons.  Current hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 9 am to 9 pm, and Sunday, 10 am to 7 pm.  For further information, visit their website at www.petco.com.

  3. Roadway Improvements to Cypress Drive between Spruce Road and Oak Creek Circle and Woodland Drive Between Oak Creek Road and Cypress Drive Are Finished.  Any identified punchlist items will be addressed.  
  4. ALERT:   East Windsor Improvements to Brooktree Rd Between Oak Creek Road and Amy Drive, Amy Drive, Lindenbrook Way, and Maple Stream Road Between Amy Drive and Route 130 Are Anticipated to Begin on or about Monday, August 7, and will last about five weeks, weather permitting.  The work, performed by low bidder The Earle Companies, begins with concrete repairs to curbs, driveway aprons and handicap ramps.  Residents in work areas should take note of any posted parking restrictions.  Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm.
  5. Mayor Janice S. Mironov Presents 2017 "Louis Bay 2nd Future Municipal Leaders" $1,000 Scholarship to East Windsor Class of 2017 High School Graduate, Siddhi Shah.  Siddhi Shah is one of three statewide winners of the 2017 "Louis Bay 2nd Future Municipal Leaders" $1,000 Scholarship award, sponsored by the New Jersey League of Municipalities.  The statewide scholarship competition centers on the theme "What My Mayor and Governing Body Do Best" and seeks to advance the virtues of elected and volunteer members of the community, while raising awareness of municipal government in general.  East Windsor resident Siddhi Shah will be attending Rutgers University.

  6. SPECIAL NOTICE ON TAX BILLS  Mailing of Third Quarter Tax Bills Has Been Delayed Due to Late Adoption of the New Jersey State Budget and State Changes to School Funding.  Tax Bills Are to be Mailed on Approximately August 7.  Third Quarter Tax Payments Will Be Due September 1 Per State Regulations, There Is No Further Grace Period and Interest Will Accrue Back to August 1 on Tax Bills Not Paid by September 1.
  7. East Windsor Holds Beginnings Concert on Sunday, August 13 at 6 pm at Etra Lake Park.  The ultimate tribute to the group "Chicago" --  the music of the electrifying horn section and the talented vocalists will feel like an authentic Chicago concert.  All of the free summer concert and family night series is made possible by the generous donations of many area businesses.  In the event of questionable weather, call the East Windsor Information Hotline at (609) 443-4000, ext. 400 after 1 pm the day of the event.  In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held inside at the East Windsor Regional School District Hightstown High School Auditorium.

  8. East Windsor Holds Jersey Sound Concert on Sunday, August 27 at 6 pm at Etra Lake Park.  These talented musicians, accented by dynamic vocalists and a great rhythm section, offer an eclectic blend of Oldies, 60’s Pop, Motown, and R&B.  All of the free summer concert and family night series is made possible by the generous donations of many area businesses.  In the event of questionable weather, call the East Windsor Information Hotline at (609) 443-4000, ext. 400 after 1 pm the day of the event.  In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held inside at the East Windsor Regional School District Hightstown High School Auditorium.
  9. East Windsor Township Celebrated "National Night Out" on August 1, attended by well over 2,000 people.  East Windsor Mayor Janice S. Mironov issued and presented to East Windsor Neighborhood Crime Watch volunteer members a Mayoral Proclamation stating, "National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and foremost send a strong message to criminals letting them know that the community and police have joined together in fighting crime."  The event is held annually to demonstrate the commitment of East Windsor Township in promoting a cooperative partnership between police, local government and citizens to vigilance and crime prevention throughout the East Windsor community.
