CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE

Mercer County has reported, as of April 14, 2020, there have been a total of 1,731 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases to date, and 71 deaths in Mercer County. All active cases are either at home self-isolating or admitted to the hospital. The State of New Jersey today reported 4,240 additional Confirmed COVID-19 Cases for a current total of 68,824 cases, and 362 additional deaths for a total of 2,805 COVID-19 related deaths statewide. Please remember to practice social distancing, follow the advice and directives of health care professionals and government officials, and use good sense, so we can all get through this difficult period together.

IMPORTANT REQUEST: Residents are reminded to properly dispose of used face masks, gloves and other Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) into an appropriate waste container. Improper disposal is inconsiderate and can expose others to risk.

  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Temporary changes to Township Garbage Collection and Related Services will become effective Monday, April 13 and continue through May 9, 2020. For full details (CLICK HERE).

OTHER COUNTY REMINDERS AND UPDATES

  1. Mercer County Drive-Up Testing Site for COVID-19, developed in collaboration with health care partners, remains open at Quaker Bridge Mall in Lawrence. Testing is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and only for symptomatic Mercer County residents age 18 or older who have a prescription from their primary health care provider (PCP). If you are symptomatic for COVID-19 and want to be referred for testing, contact your primary care physician. Your doctor must fax your prescription to (609) 630-4031, to schedule an appointment. Those who show up and who do not have an appointment will not be able to be tested. If you have questions about the testing process, call (609) 337-4081 Monday through Friday between 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M.
  2. Central Jersey Urgent Care is operating a Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing Site, available without a prescription to residents of Mercer County, located in the rear parking lot at the Robbinsville Municipal Building at 2298 Route 33. You do not need a prescription to get tested, but you must be symptomatic, or have been exposed to a COVID-19 positive patient, and must register online at www.clockwisemd.com/hospitals/2059/visits/new. This drive-thru testing site will be open from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. on Wednesday April 15 and Friday, April 17.

Testing is limited to one person per-household. The cost for self-pay individuals without insurance will be $99 paid via credit card (no cash will be accepted) at the time of service at the site. Those with insurance also will be required to provide a valid credit card, but only after insurance is applied will any remaining patient responsibility be charged to the card. Contact your healthcare insurer for coverage verification, and be prepared to upload your photo ID and insurance card (if available) during registration. Notification of both positive and negative results will be made by phone in 2-3 days.


STATE OF NEW JERSEY UPDATES

Governor Murphy issued Executive Order No. 126 (CLICK HERE) on April 13, effective immediately, prohibiting cable and telecommunications providers from terminating internet and voice service due to nonpayment until 30 days after the current public health emergency has ended, and ordering that any internet or voice service that was disconnected after March 16 due to nonpayment must be reconnected.
