  1. LG Electronics USA Occupies New 410,300 Square Foot Class A Distribution and Warehouse Facility at 159 Milford Road.  LG Electronics USA, the North American subsidiary of global innovator LG, will be the sole user of the newly constructed Gateway Twin Rivers building, located directly across from Conair Corp. and just off the recently relocated and expanded New Jersey Turnpike East Windsor Interchange 8.  LG will use the facility for the distribution to dealers of home appliance products including its award-winning refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, washers and dryers.  This facility will allow LG to be more responsive to its East Coast customers and support the growth of LG home applicance in the region.  The new facility, which began construction in October 2016 on 28 acres, has an attractive modern facade and well landscaped grounds, will create 50 new jobs and generate substantial local tax dollars, as well as new patrons for the many Township stores and restaurants.

East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees.  Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.  Residents interested in volunteering can obtain an application form from the municipal clerk or can fill out this form (CLICK HERE) and return by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303, or by mail to Mayor Janice S.   3. East Windsor Township Encourages Residents to Support and Participate in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 4.  Residents are encouraged to support the event by purchasing candles and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 4, at 5 pm to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard), followed by refreshments.  Citizens can participate by purchasing luminary kits, containing six candles, for $10 at any time at the East Windsor Police/Municipal Court Building (80 One Mile Road) at any time, or at the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and bringing luminary kits to the event.  Any checks of support can be made payable to Womanspace, Inc. and mailed or dropped off at the Municipal Building.  All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals affected by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.  For further information, call (609) 448-5678, ext. 231.


    Communities of Light luminary kits, with six candles, are available at the East Windsor Township Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) and East Windsor Police/Municipal Court Building (80 One Mile Road) for $10.  East Windsor officials and citizens will assemble on December 4 at 5 pm to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building, as a beacon of hope for the victims of domestic violence and their families.  All of the proceeds for the luminary sales go to support Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals affected by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.
  4. Annual Windsor-Hightstown Area Ministerium (WHAM) Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service Will Be Held on Sunday, November 19, at 7 pm, at St. Anthony of Padua, located at 156 Maxwell Avenue, Hightstown.
  5. ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:   Volunteer Opportunity in Television Broadcasting Available.  If you are interested in broadcasting and would like hands-on training on a live, local television program, opportunities are available to work with the award winning "Spotlight East Windsor" program, one hour every other Wednesday night, at the East Windsor Municipal Building.  Volunteers will learn camera techniques, audio, lighting, video switching, videotape operation and much more.  Interested individuals should contact the Municipal Clerk’s office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 237 and provide your name and contact information.  For technical information, contact Dick Cunningham at (609) 443-1199.
  6. Township Recreation Department Offers Trip to New Jersey Devils vs Dallas Stars Hockey Game on Friday, December 15, at 4:30 pm at the Prudential Center in Newark.  This is the Devil's 35th Anniversary Celebration game, and attendees will each receive a Devils group gift bag to commemorate the event.  The bus will depart the Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) at 4:30 pm.  The fee is $75 per person, including transportation and a ticket for entrance to the game in Section 126.  Attendees 15 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult.  For more information, call (609) 443-4000, ext. 225 or (CLICK HERE) to register. 
  7. East Windsor Recreation Department Offers Trip to "Six Flags, Holiday in the Park" on Sunday, December 17, at 2 pm.  Experience "millions of glittering lights, dazzling holiday entertainment, Santa's Village and many of its popular rides magically transformed into a winter wonderland."  The fee is $40 per person, including transportation.  Attendees 15 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult.  The bus will depart from the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) at 2 pm and return at 8:30 pm.  For more information, call (609) 443-4000, ext. 225 or (CLICK HERE) to register. 
  8. No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24 and All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  Garbage Collection for Area #1 residents, normally, on Thursday, November 23, will be on the next scheduled collection day of Monday, November 27.  Garbage Collection for Area #2 residents, normally on Friday, November 24, will be on the next scheduled collection date of Tuesday, November 29.  Visit Township website at (CLICK HERE) to view the public works schedule.
