  1. REMINDER.  All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED and No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Friday, July 3 due to the Independence Day holiday.  Residents of Area #2, who would normally have garbage collection on Friday, July 3, are to put their garbage out on the next regularly scheduled collection date which is Tuesday, July 7.  Visit the Township website (CLICK HERE) for additional garbage collection information.
  2. To Celebrate Independence Day East Windsor Township Invites You to Participate in Our Township 4th of July Home Decorating Contest!  We encourage you and your families to decorate the outside of your home, porch, balcony, door or windows in such a way that shows pride in our Nation and reflects the themes of “Independence Day” and our “United States of America” and submit a photo of your "July 4 Independence Day" decorated home.  Recognition and prizes will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.  We hope everyone will participate and show off their creative talents and have some fun together.  CLICK HERE to submit your photos and include your name, address, phone number and email address.

     
  3. East Windsor Roadway Improvements to Dutch Neck Road between Hightstown Borough and Route 130 North and Morrison Avenue between Hightstown Borough and Dutch Neck Road Continue with Milling and Resurfacing Scheduled to Begin on or about Monday, July 6.  Work hours are Monday through Friday 7 A.M. to 5 P.M.   Access to Dutch Neck Road from Route 130 will be restricted during paving activities, and drivers should be alert to posted road closures and detours.  Area residents should take notice of any posted parking restrictions.  The roadway improvements, funded by a $393,575 New Jersey Department of Transportation grant, are anticipated to be completed on or about July 24, weather permitting.
  4. ALERT:  New Jersey Department of Transportation Roadway Milling and Repaving Project for the Entire Length of Route 133 in Both Eastbound and Westbound Directions Continues with concrete curb and crosswalk ramp construction.  Milling and repaving of the roadway is scheduled to begin July 8during overnight hours, 9:30 P.M. to 5:30 A.M. during which the entire roadway will be closed, and continue for two weeks, weather permitting.  Route 133 will remain open during non-work hours.  Residents should be alert to posted road closures and detours.
  5. East Windsor Township Will Hold Document Shredding and Electronics Recycling Event on Wednesday, July 15 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M., Rain or Shine, at the East Windsor Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard).  NO OTHER DROP-OFFS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS EVENT.  This Township event, sponsored by Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members, will offer Free document shredding to East Windsor residents (no commercial drop-offs are permitted), with a limit of ten boxes per household.  Electronics Recycling is limited to only televisions, computers and accessories, monitors, fax machines, cell phones, VCR's, cable boxes and telephones.  All drop off shall be "Contact-less" and residents must remain in their vehicles at all times.  Trained staff wearing masks and gloves will remove items from the trunk and rear seat of the vehicle.  For further information, call (609) 443-4000, ext. 215.
  6. Primary Election Day is Tuesday, July 7Vote by Mail Ballots Were Mailed to All Registered Democrats and Republicans.  A drop-off box for Vote by Mail Ballots is available in front of the East Windsor Municipal Court Building, 80 One Mile Road, for voters to drop off their completed Vote by Mail Ballot up to 8 P.M. on Election Day, July 7.  Polls will be open on Tuesday, July 7 from 6 A.M. to 8 P.M. for voters who choose to vote in person by provisional paper ballot and for any voter with disabilities to vote on an ADA-accessible voting machine at the following polling places which have been relocated and consolidated by the Mercer County Board of Elections:
    • Districts 1, 4, 5, 7, 13 and 14: Melvin H. Kreps School, Gym, 5 Kent Drive
    • Districts 2, 3, 6, 10 and 11: Ethel McKnight School, Gym, 58 Twin Rivers Drive
    • Districts 8, 9, 12, 15, and 16: Perry L. Drew School, Gym, 70 Twin Rivers Drive North

A secure box has been installed in front of the East Windsor Municipal Court Building at 80 One Mile Road, for the drop off of completed Vote by Mail Ballots, up to 8 P.M. on Election Day, July 7.
