  1. East Windsor Township Will Hold Document Shredding and Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, October 3 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., Rain or Shine, at the East Windsor Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard). NO OTHER DROP-OFFS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS EVENT. This Township event, sponsored by Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members, will offer Free document shredding to East Windsor residents (no commercial drop-offs are permitted), with a limit of ten boxes per household. Electronics Recycling is limited to only televisions, computers and accessories, monitors, fax machines, cell phones, VCR's, cable boxes and telephones. All drop off shall be "Contact-less" and residents must remain in their vehicles at all times. Trained staff wearing masks and gloves will remove items from the trunk and rear seat of the vehicle.   2. Mayor and Council Award Exeter Road, Exeter Court, Cornwall Drive, Drew Lane, Surrey Lane, Stanford Court, and Berkshire Drive Resurfacing and Repair Project to Low Bidder, Meco Incorporated of Millstone Township, NJ. The roadwork project will include road resurfacing and repairs to the curbs, aprons and installation of handicapped ramps. The roadwork will be supported by a $600,361 NJ Department of Transportation Grant.
  3. Last Day to Register to Vote in the November 3 General Election is Tuesday, October 13. Voter registration can be done online at www.njelections.org. Voter registration forms can be obtained online or in the main entrance foyer of the Municipal Building. For questions, call the municipal clerk's office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 237.
  4. November 3 General Election Will Be Conducted Primarily by Vote By Mail Ballots, in accordance with Governor Murphy's Executive Order No. 177 (CLICK HERE). Vote By Mail Ballots (VBM) will automatically be sent to all registered voters without the need for an application. Voters can return the completed VBM ballot by mail in the pre-paid envelope or place it in the drop box in front of the East Windsor Municipal Court Building (80 One Mile Road) up to 8 P.M. on Election Day. Voters also can return the VBM Ballot to their polling location on Election Day. Voters who choose to vote in person on Election Day will vote by provisional paper ballot. A voter with disabilities will vote on an ADA-accessible voting machine. For questions, call the Municipal Clerk's office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 237. Polling locations have been consolidated for the General Election as follows, and voters will receive mailed notice of their polling place:
    • Districts 1 and 5: Elks Lodge #1955, 110 Hickory Corner Road
    • Districts 2, 3, 6, 10, and 11: Ethel McKnight School, Gym, 58 Twin Rivers Drive
    • Districts 4, 7, 13, and 14: Melvin H. Kreps School, Gym, 5 Kent Lane
    • Districts 8 and 9: American Legion Post #148, 895 Route 130 North
    • Districts 12, 15, and 16: Perry L. Drew School, Gym, 70 Twin Rivers Drive North
  5. Mercer County Holds Paper Shredding Day on Saturday, October 17 from 9 A.M. to 12 Noon, rain or shine, in Parking Lot 4 across the street from 640 South Broad Street (Mercer County Administration Building), Trenton. Residents may bring up to eight boxes or bags of paper; no commercial businesses are permitted. Proof of residency such as a driver's license is required.   6. East Windsor Township Invites Proposals for Art Installation at Route 130 and Route 33 Southern Township Gateway Intersection. Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members are seeking ideas for the potential creation of a visible outdoor landmark on Township owned property at the southern Township intersection of Route 130 and Route 33. Concept proposals should include installation of an original work of art that provides an attractive and memorable entry point into the Township, which is sufficiently sized to be visible to vehicle traffic on both Route 130 and Route 33, and is durable to last at least 10 years outdoors. Proposals should be submitted to the Township Clerk's office by September 30. Additional information is available on the Township website (CLICK HERE).
  7. East Windsor Kicks-Off "We Check for 21" Campaign, an Initiative of Mayor Mironov and Council Members to Deter Underage Drinking. The Mayoral Proclamation notes, "the We Check for 21 Program is an excellent vehicle to bring together municipal government leaders, young people, parents, key community and school leaders, policy makers and local businesses toward a common positive community effort" and "calls on all businesses and citizens to become more aware of and more involved in efforts to reduce underage drinking in our community." As part of the Township campaign, liquor license holders are required to sign the "We Check for 21" pledge, affirming strong support of the program, as a condition of receiving their liquor license renewal.
