  1. NOTE: East Windsor Makes Temporary Changes to Public Works Service Schedules Due to Staffing Health-Related Actions. REGULAR HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE will continue to be collected on the normal schedule; however, your patience is appreciated if your trash is not picked up by the end of the regular scheduled day, please leave it curbside and it will be picked up the following day. LEAF COLLECTION continues Township-wide, however, the previously published schedule has been impacted, but collections will continue until complete. WOOD CHIPPING SERVICES, normally available on the bulk trash collection days will NOT be available through December 31, 2020. There are NO CHANGES to other collections services, specifically: RECYCLING CURBSIDE COLLECTION, BULK TRASH COLLECTION and WHITE GOODS, will continue as scheduled.   2. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees. Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse. Residents interested in volunteering can obtain an application form from the municipal clerk or can fill out this form (CLICK HERE) and return by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303, or by drop off or mail to Mayor Janice S.   3. High School Students Invited to Serve as Student Members of East Windsor Township Boards and Commissions. The boards and commissions included in the program are Commission on Aging, Clean Communities Committee, Economic Development Commission, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Committee and Recreation Commission, as well as the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse. High school students who wish to be considered should submit a letter indicating their area of interest and reasons or related background, by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303 or by drop off or mail to Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members, East Windsor Municipal Building, 16 Lanning Boulevard, East Windsor, New Jersey 08520.
  4. East Windsor Township Participated in Womanspace "Communities of Light" on Monday, December 7, to raise funds for Womanspace and focus public awareness on the important issue of domestic violence and services available to victims. Checks of support remain enthusiastically welcomed (checks payable to Womanspace can be dropped off at or mailed to the municipal building, 16 Lanning Boulevard, East Windsor, NJ 08520). Township officials issued a Proclamation and joined together to light up the Municipal Building for Communities of Light, sponsored by Womanspace, the primary non-profit organization in Mercer County providing a comprehensive array of services, crisis intervention and support for victims of domestic violence and their families.     Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members issue Proclamation designating "Communities of Light" day, and kick off the ceremony to light up the municipal building during the Township "Communities of Light" event, held to raise funds for Womanspace and focus public awareness on the important subject of domestic violence and support for victims and families.     The Peddie School once again participated and supported the Township Womanspace Communities of Light event, holding a private ceremony and lighting candles on the steps of the campus chapel to join in the community program to raise funds and focus public awareness on the important subject of domestic violence.
  5. East Windsor Township Annual Reorganization Meeting Is Scheduled for Tuesday, January 5, at 6:30 P.M. DETAILS TO FOLLOW.
  6. East Windsor Awarded $6,000 "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" 2020 Year-End Holiday Crackdown Enforcement Grant. The grant, received from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety, is to underwrite salaries of police officers for added enforcement activities directed at the detection and apprehension of intoxicated drivers. The program, which began on December 4 and runs through January 1, is a statewide campaign aimed at improving public safety by encouraging responsible driving during the 2020 year-end holiday season.
