July 30, 2021 - REMINDER: Join East Windsor Officials for "National Night Out" on Tuesday, August 3, from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. at the East Windsor Police/Court Building at 80 One Mile Road. This annual fun educational Township event, sponsored by Mayor Janice Mironov and Council Members in conjunction with Chief of Police James Geary, features crime watch information, displays and various demonstrations, and giveaways supporting the National Night Out theme. The event includes police/court building tours, police vehicle tours, demonstrations by canines trained in detecting illegal drugs, child car safety seat inspections, fire and EMS equipment displays, and a rock-climbing wall. There will be booths by many local organizations and businesses, with information and giveaways. Refreshments and Kona Ice also will be available, along with DJ provided music. - REMINDER: East Windsor Holds "Family Night in the Park" on Saturday, July 31 at 7 P.M. at Etra Lake Park Featuring a Large Screen Showing of the Movie "Trolls World Tour". Trolls World Tour is an action–packed new release (2020) Disney 3D computer-animated adventurous film; when the Queen of the Hard Rock Trolls tries to take over all the Troll Kingdoms, Queen Poppy and her friends try different ways to save the Trolls. Prior to the start of the movie, there will be games, DJ music, and dancing. These free events are made possible through the generous contributions of many area businesses. - Child Passenger Car Seat Safety Inspection Initiative Continues on Tuesday, August 3 at National Night Out at the Police/Court Building from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. Funded by $6,000 Grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety, the FREE Child Passenger Car Seat safety inspections for Township residents, hosted by Mayor Janice S. Mironov, Members of Council and the police department, are to promote child passenger safety. Participants will have their child car seats inspected to ensure proper installation and will receive educational materials regarding current state child restraint laws. Final session will be held at the Police/Court building, at 80 One Mile Road on Thursday, September 23 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M.
- East Windsor Holds "AM Gold Yacht Rock Party" -- Hit Songs from 1975 to 1985 Concert on Sunday, August 8 at 6 P.M. at Etra Lake Park. AM GOLD is a New York City based tribute band, performing the adult-contemporary hit songs from the late 1970’s through the mid 1980’s. Artists include Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Huey Lewis, Christopher Cross, and Lionel Richie! Most of this Southern-California based music has recently experienced a revival known to many as "Yacht Rock". "Take the beauty and intricacy of the vocal harmonies of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, add the voices of three women and you get a CSN experience that transcends the typical tribute band". - SPECIAL NOTICE ON THIRD QUARTER TAX BILLS: Third Quarter August 1 Tax Bills, delayed awaiting State certification of the Mercer County tax rate, have been mailed and should be received. Taxpayers also can view and pay their tax bills through the Township website on-line system (CLICK HERE) or can await receipt of the mailed tax bill. As a result of the delay, the grace period for third quarter taxes is extended to August 25, 2021 with no further grace period, and for tax payments not received by August 25, interest will accrue back to August 1.
