  1. ALERT: East Windsor Roadway Improvements to Oakbranch Road, Pineybranch Road, Pinehurst Drive, and Warren Drive continue with milling and paving of the road surface. Improvements to curbs and driveway aprons have already been completed. The entire project is anticipated to be completed by Monday, November 22, weather permitting. The roadway improvements are funded by a $530,000 New Jersey Department of Transportation grant.
  2. Crunch Fitness Holds Grand Opening Event at the Windsor Crossing Shopping Center, Located at 761 Route 33 Directly Across from The Home Depot. Crunch Fitness, a 24,203 square foot exercise facility, offers state of the art workout machines, free range of motion weights, cardio equipment, a sauna, group fitness classes, circuit training, and over 200 fitness and exercise programs. Professional trainers develop fitness programs to help individuals reach their personal goals. Crunch Fitness offers classes including barre, cardio, pilates, yoga, and Zumba. Crunch Fitness has locations in the United States, Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, and Spain, including 21 locations in New Jersey. Current hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 5 A.M. to 10 P.M., Friday, 5 A.M. to 9 P.M., and Saturday and Sunday, 7 A.M. to 5 P.M.   3. East Windsor Township Encourages Residents to Support and Participate in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 6. Citizens and businesses can participate and support Womanspace by purchasing candles and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 6 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building. Luminary kits, containing six candles each, can be purchased for $10 at any time at the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) and bringing the luminary kits to the event. All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals affected by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.     Purchase "Communities of Light" luminary kits, with six candles, at the East Windsor Police/Municipal Court Building (80 One Mile Road) for $10 to raise funds for Womanspace. East Windsor officials and citizens will assemble on Monday, December 6 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building, as a beacon of hope for the victims of domestic violence and their families.
  4. East Windsor Township Awarded $91,710 State Grant for Purchase of Police Body-Worn Cameras. The $91,710 grant award under the New Jersey Attorney General Body Worn Camera Grants Program, will be used for the purchase of new body worn cameras, hardware, software and accessories in support of an enhanced program. The East Windsor police department began utilizing body worn cameras, small visible devices worn on officers' uniforms and used to capture video and audio evidence on all types of incidents, in 2017. The initial body worn camera program was partially funded with $15,000 in New Jersey Attorney General grant funds, and was among one of the first mandatory body worn camera programs in the State. The grant will provide for a new body worn camera for every officer, new enhanced digital storage solutions, new hardware, software and the necessary accessories to fully outfit the police department with body worn camera capabilities.
  5. East Windsor Township Awarded $6,677.70 in Federal Grants for Police Body Armor. The grant funds, received under the United States Department of Justice Bullet Proof Vest Partnership, are part of the Township annual partnerships with Federal and State grant programs to offset Township costs associated with the periodic replacement of body armor issued to and used by Township police.
  6. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees. Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.   7. High School Students Invited to Serve as Student Members of East Windsor Township Boards and Commissions. The boards and commissions included in the program are Commission on Aging, Clean Communities Committee, Economic Development Commission, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Committee and Recreation Commission, as well as the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse. High school students who wish to be considered should submit a letter indicating their area of interest and reasons or related background, by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303 or by mail to Mayor Janice S.   8. No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 and All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Garbage Collection for Area #1 residents, normally, on Thursday, November 25, will be on the next scheduled collection day of Monday, November 29. Garbage Collection for Area #2 residents, normally on Friday, November 26, will be on the next scheduled collection date of Tuesday, November 30.
