  1. REMINDER: Last Day to Register to Vote in the June 7 Primary Election is Tuesday, May 17. Registration forms can be obtained at the municipal building or on-line at www.njelections.org. For individuals who wish to Vote by Mail, the deadline to apply is Tuesday, May 31 by mail and Monday, June 6 by 3 P.M. in person. Mail ballots must be received by Mercer County by Election Day. Questions can be directed to the municipal clerk's office at (609) 443-4000, ext. 237.
  2. East Windsor Mayor and Council Hold Final Bicycle Helmet Giveaway Program "Use Your Head," Session on Wednesday, May 25 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M., at the Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard), whereby residents ages 5 through 16 can receive a bicycle helmet, at no cost. After viewing a brief five-minute video on the importance of bicycle helmets and bicycle safety, participants will be measured and given a properly fitted bicycle helmet, along with safety literature. The Township then will implement Phase 2 of this bicycle safety initiative from June 1 through July 31, during which Mayor Mironov and Council Members and Township police officers will distribute form “summonses” to young people, recognizing children wearing helmets and asking them to sign a pledge “to use a safety helmet when using a bicycle, skateboard or rollerblades". This step will enable them to be entered in a drawing for prizes, which will take place on Tuesday August 2 at the Township “National Night Out”.

  3. East Windsor Township Offers Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination and First and Second Booster Dose Clinic on Thursday, May 26 from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (79 One Mile Road Ext). Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available, as well as Pfizer and Moderna Booster doses for those who are eligible. Vaccinations will be available for children ages 5 through 11. Appointments Are Required.   4. Mercer County Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Electronics Recycling Event Will Be Held on Saturday, June 4, from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M., rain or shine, at the John T. Dempster Fire School, located at 350 Lawrence Station Road in Lawrence Township. No registration is required, just proof of Mercer County residency. Residents can dispose of aerosol cans, used motor oil, propane gas tanks, pesticides, herbicides, car batteries, paint thinner, oil based paints, gasoline, anti-freeze, driveway sealer, insect repellants, and fluorescent and compact fluorescent bulbs. Used electronic equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, televisions, stereos, and microwaves will be accepted.   5. East Windsor Recreation Department Summer Camp Registration Is Open for Township Residents. Recreation day camps will be offered for students entering grades Kindergarten through 6. The Explorer camp is designed for campers entering grades Kindergarten and 1, the Adventure camp is designed for campers entering grades 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and the 2022 Travel camps are offered for campers entering grades 5 through 9. Camp Care for before and after care of campers is also available for an additional fee. Online registration and payment is available at (CLICK HERE).   6. East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority (EWMUA) Is Scheduled to Complete the Semi-Annual Hydrant Flushing to remove sediment from pipes, monitor water flows and pressures, and provide visual inspection of the hydrants during the overnight hours between 10 P.M. and 6 A.M. on May 8 through May 13 in the following areas: Renaissance Estates, Princeton East, Oak Creek Estates, Riviera, neighborhoods along Dutch Neck Road, One Mile Road and sections of Route 130. This schedule is subject to change due to conflicting work that must be done by EWMUA personnel. According to the EWMUA, customers may notice a drop in water pressure or may experience discolored water. At no time will the water quality be compromised, and the water is safe to use.
