  1. REMINDER: East Windsor Township Annual Reorganization Meeting Is Scheduled for Tuesday, January 10 at 6 P.M. at the East Windsor Township Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard). The public is invited to attend the largely ceremonial meeting at which the Township Council makes appointments to Township boards and committees, and does various recognitions. A reception and refreshments will follow the meeting.
  2. East Windsor Township Offers COVID-19 Vaccination and Boosters Including Bivalent Booster Clinic on Thursday, January 19 from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. at the Hickory Corner Branch Library (138 Hickory Corner Road). Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available, as well as bivalent booster doses for those who are eligible. Vaccinations and Pfizer boosters will be available for children ages 5 and older.   3. East Windsor Township 2023 New Year's Food Drive will kick off Today and continue through the month of January. Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members are asking area residents and businesses to drop off donated non-perishable food items at the East Windsor Municipal Building (16 Lanning Boulevard) during business hours, the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) 24/7, or at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 (69 Twin Rivers Drive). Additionally, attendees of the January 10 Reorganization Meeting at the East Windsor Township Senior Center are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items at this event. The food drive will benefit the RISE food pantry, that provides assistance to local individuals and families.
  4. East Windsor Dog Owners Must Secure or Renew Licenses By January 31. All dogs seven months of age and older are required to be licensed. An additional late fee of $1.00 per month will be charged after January 31. Rabies vaccination must be valid through November 1, 2023 to obtain a 2023 dog license. Dog License applications are available from the Municipal Clerk’s Office or the Township website (CLICK HERE).   5. Womanspace Domestic Violence Victim Response Team Is Seeking Volunteers. East Windsor Township, in collaboration with Womanspace, is recruiting volunteers who work in conjunction with local police to provide support, information and referral at the time of a domestic violence situation. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, possess a valid driver's license and access to transportation, and submit to a background investigation, including fingerprinting. Bilingual individuals are encouraged to participate. An 80-hour mandatory training course is provided and scheduled to begin Tuesday, March 14. Applications are available at www.womanspace.org.   6. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees. Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.   7. No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Monday, January 16 and All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED due to the holiday. Residents of Area #1, who would normally have garbage collection on Monday, January 16, are to put their garbage out on the next regularly scheduled collection date which is Thursday, January 19. Public works schedules can be viewed on the Township website (CLICK HERE).
