  1. REMINDER: All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED and No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Monday, May 27 due to the Memorial Day holiday. Residents of Area #1, who would normally have garbage collection on Monday, May 27, are to put their garbage out on the next regularly scheduled collection date which is Thursday, May 30.   2. REMINDER: Hightstown-East Windsor Memorial Day Parade Is Monday, May 27, and will kick-off at 9 A.M. on North Main Street and proceed through the center of Hightstown. The annual community event will feature many local groups including veterans associations, rescue squads and fire companies, school musical groups, scout organizations, religious organizations, and other area participants.
  3. "Click It or Ticket" Seat Belt Campaign Funded by $7,000 Grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety (NJDHTS), will run from May 20 to June 2. The NJDHTS 2024 "Click It or Ticket" seat belt campaign is a statewide campaign aimed at increasing compliance with State law that requires the use of seat belts. These funds will be used to pay the salaries of Township police officers who will be assigned patrol activities directed toward the identification and ticketing of motorists who fail to use seat belts as required by State law.
  4. East Windsor Economic Development Committee is Hosting a Networking and Business Award Event on Wednesday May 29, at 5:30 P.M. at the Township Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard). The event is an opportunity for businesses to network with other businesses and to meet the Mayor and Council Members and other local officials. The event program will be East Windsor Township presenting awards to local businesses that make special efforts to improve or contribute to the community. The categories of Township award recognition are Business Beautification, Community Service and Community Enhancement. Light refreshments will be served. There is no cost to attend, however, pre-registration is required (CLICK HERE).

  5. Early In-Person Voting Begins Wednesday, May 29 through Sunday, June 2 at Seven Sites in Mercer County, Including at the Hickory Corner Branch Library in East Windsor. Early Voting hours are 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and Sunday, 10 A.M. to 6 P.M, Voters can cast their ballot at any of the Mercer County early voting sites below:
    o East Windsor: Mercer County Library, 138 Hickory Corner Road
    o Ewing: Mercer County Office Park, 140 Parkside Avenue
    o Hamilton: Colonial Fire House Company, 801 Kuser Road
    o Lawrence: Mercer County Library, 2751 Brunswick Pike at Darrah Lane
    o Pennington: Pennington Fire Department, 120 Broemel Place
    o Princeton: Princeton Municipal Building - Community Room, 400 Witherspoon Street
    o Trenton: Trenton Fire Headquarters, 241 Perry Street

  7. Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection Program Funded by $7,500 Grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety on Thursday, June 6, from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the East Windsor Police/Court building (80 One Mile Road). The Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection Program is designed to ensure motorists are properly securing their children in child seats as required by State law. Interested residents can have their child seats inspected for proper fit and installation in their vehicles and will receive educational materials regarding current child restraint laws. The events also will take place at the East Windsor Police/Court building (80 One Mile Road) on Wednesday, July 10 and Monday, September 16 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M and at the Township National Night Out event at the East Windsor PAL Complex (30 Airport Road) on Tuesday, August 6 from 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.
  8. CALENDAR: East Windsor Township Free Summer Events at Etra Lake Park:

    Saturday, July 6 (rain date July 13) East Windsor Independence Day Celebration: 6 pm, Jerry Rife's Rhythm Kings Dixieland Jazz Band, 6 piece band from the Delaware Valley area best known for its traditional jazz sound. 7:45 pm, Trenton Brass Quintet Plus One, 6 piece ensemble from Central Jersey performing "Americana" and a variety of popular melodies. Approximately 9:30 pm, Fireworks.

    Sunday, July 28 at 6 pm 80's Revolution: All genre's of the 80's

    Saturday, August 10 at 7 pm Family-Night-In-The-Park: Large screen showing of the movie "Migration" preceded by inflatable rides and games.
