  1. ALERT : Roadwork has begun on Route 130 South during overnight hours and will continue, weather permitting, for approximately three weeks. EXPECT DELAYS, as the work will include temporary lane closures. New Jersey State Department of Transportation will be milling and paving the southbound lanes of Route 130 from Route 133 to Route 535 in Cranbury.
  2. June 4 Primary Election Results are available on the Mercer County Clerk website (CLICK HERE)
  3. Contract Awarded for Roadway Improvements Project for Beechcroft Drive and Connecting Streets -- Hemlock Court, Brooklawn Drive, Ivy Lane East, Glenwood Circle and Meadowbrook Drive. The bid was awarded to low bidder, S Brothers of South River, New Jersey. The project will include roadway milling and resurfacing, as well as associated improvements as needed to deteriorated concrete curbs and aprons, handicap ramps and updating storm water inlets. Schedule details will follow as available.
  4. Mayor Janice Mironov and Council Members Issue Proclamation Recognizing National Gun Violence Awareness Day -- June 7, to Moms Demand Action, Mercer County. The Mayoral Proclamation notes that, "Americans are 26 times more likely to die by gun homicide than people in higher-income nations. The Township renews our commitment to reduce gun violence, and pledge to do all we can to keep firearms out of the wrong hands, and encourage responsible gun ownership to help keep all of our citizens and children safer". Moms Demand Action, a grassroots organization dedicated to raising awareness about the impacts of gun violence and keeping families safe, is encouraging citizens to "Wear Orange" on June 7-9 to recognize gun violence awareness.

    East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Members join with members of Mercer County Moms Demand Action to proclaim June 7 as "National Gun Violence Awareness Day" and encourage residents to "Wear Orange" as a means to honor and remember all victims and survivors of gun violence and to recommit ourselves to doing all that we can to reduce the impacts of senseless gun violence in our community and in our nation.   5. East Windsor Independence Day Celebration Will Be Held on Saturday, July 6 (rain date Monday, July 13) at Etra Lake Park. Free entertainment begins at 6 P.M. with the Jerry Rife's Rhythm Kings Dixieland Jazz Band, a 6 piece band from the Delaware Valley area best known for its traditional jazz sound, followed at 7:45 P.M. by the Trenton Brass Quintet Plus One, a 6 piece ensemble from Central Jersey performing "Americana" and a variety of popular melodies. The spectacular Fireworks Display will commence immediately following the musical presentations, at approximately 9:30 P.M. Bring your blankets and chairs, and use the barbecue grills for a night of free fun at beautiful Etra Lake Park. There will also be vendors present selling refreshments. This free event is made possible through the generous contributions of many area businesses.
