September 27, 2024 - REMINDER: Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members Hold Recycling Day Event on Saturday, September 28, from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., Rain or Shine, at the East Windsor Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard). Free paper shredding services to securely dispose of unneeded personal documents and confidential files will be available from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. or until the truck is full, for East Windsor Residents Only. There is a limit of ten boxes per household; no commercial documents. Electronic recycling includes televisions, computers and accessories, monitors, fax machines, VCR's, cable boxes and radios. Residents also will be able to drop off fluorescent bulbs, household batteries, cell phones and printer cartridges. INFORMATION UPDATE: East Windsor Reached out to Mercer County on Behalf of Residents to Obtain Information on Replacement of the East Ward Street Bridge over Peddie Lake, which has been closed to all vehicular traffic since April 4, 2022. Mercer County reported that the design project for the replacement of the bridge was awarded to Traffic Planning & Design. In 2022, the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) awarded $3.2 million through the Local Bridges Fund toward replacement of the East Ward Street Bridge. Mercer County applied for and received NJDOT Highway Occupancy Permits on August 24, 2024, and for Mercer County Soil Conservation District (MCSCD) permits on March 4, 2024, still pending. Required Right of Way (ROW) acquisition is in process, along with utility relocation reviews. Thereafter, the Plans Specs & Engineer estimate will be submitted to NJDOT for approval before the project can be advertised for construction bids. The anticipated construction date is mid to late July 2025, dependent on weather and utility relocation. -
Oath of Office Administered to New Police Officer Justin Kulcsar who fills a police vacancy. Police Officer Justin Kulcsar, who obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Justice from Rowan University, will be graduating from the Atlantic County Police Academy in December 2024. Police Officer Kulcsar will be assigned to the Uniform Services Division upon his Police Academy Graduation. Mayor Janice S. Mironov administered the oath of office to newly hired Police Officer Justin Kulcsar (center), joined by Chief of Police Jason Hart. -
East Windsor Offers Free Flu Clinics on Thursday, October 10 from 9:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. and on Thursday, October 24 from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. at the Township Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard), for East Windsor and Hightstown residents 60 years and older. The vaccinations are by appointment only, by calling the Township Health Department at (609) 443-4000, ext. 422.
