  1. Early In-Person Voting Begins TOMORROW, Saturday, October 26 through Sunday, November 3 at Seven Sites in Mercer County, Including East Windsor at the Hickory Corner Branch Library. Early Voting hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and Sunday, 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. Voters can vote in-person on regular voting machines at any of the Mercer County early voting sites, which include East Windsor, per below:
    o East Windsor: Mercer County Library, 138 Hickory Corner Road
    o Ewing: Mercer County Office Park, 1440 Parkside Avenue
    o Hamilton: Colonial Fire House Company, 801 Kuser Road
    o Lawrence: Mercer County Library, 2751 Brunswick Pike at Darrah Lane,
    o Pennington: Pennington Fire Department, 120 Broemel Place
    o Princeton: Princeton Municipal Building, 400 Witherspoon Street
    o Trenton: Trenton Fire Headquarters, 244 Perry Street
  2. Vote By Mail Applications Must Be Mailed by Tuesday, October 29 or Returned in Person by 3 P.M. on Monday, November 4 to the Mercer County Clerk’s Office. Completed Vote by Mail ballots can be returned to any secure drop box up to 8 P.M. on Election Day, November 5. A secure drop box for completed Vote by Mail Ballots is located in front of the East Windsor Municipal Court/Police Building (80 One Mile Road).

  3. Atul Bakery Opens in Towne Center on Route 130 South, between Mattress Firm and Kochi Cuisine. Atul Bakery, founded in India and with headquarters and production facility in Elizabeth, New Jersey, now has six locations in the United States, one in Lowell, Massachusetts and five in New Jersey including North Brunswick and Jersey City. The bakery offers a range of vegetarian and egg free options, including a wide host of different cakes, cake shakes and various snacks including their specialty puffs such as masala, paneer, vegetable cheese and Chinese.   4. East Windsor Township Recognizes Domestic Violence Awareness Month - October and Kicks Off Township Participation in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 2. Mayor Janice Mironov and Council Members, joined by Womanspace representative Lisseth Dzurkoc, issued a Proclamation recognizing October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and kicked off participation in the Womanspace "Communities of Light." The Mayoral Proclamation, talking about the serious issue of domestic violence, notes that, "The East Windsor Domestic Violence Victims Response Team and Womanspace, Inc. have provided a coordinated community response that has served hundreds of local residents during its years of operation, and has improved many lives in our community by advocating the importance of victim safety and support as well as accountability for abusers." The Proclamation further "encourages all citizens to become enlightened about and support efforts to address this issue in all of our communities, and recognizes and expresses appreciation for the special and invaluable contributions and extraordinary dedication of the Domestic Violence Victim Response Team and Womanspace." Womanspace, Inc., founded in 1977, is the only non-profit agency providing crisis intervention and support services, including 24-hour hotlines, counseling, housing and legal assistance, for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Mercer County. Womanspace Communities of Light is geared to raise funds for Womanspace and to raise public awareness about the important subject of domestic violence in our communities and the availability of resources for victims. Citizens and businesses can participate and support Womanspace by purchasing candles and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 2 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building. Luminary kits, containing six candles each, can be purchased for $10 at any time at the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road) and bringing the luminary kits to the event. All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals affected by domestic violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families.   5. East Windsor Will Participate in Operation Medicine Cabinet on Saturday, October 26 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., a program offering residents the opportunity to dispose of unused, unwanted and expired prescription medications in an environmentally responsible manner and reducing possible access by unauthorized persons and young people to these drugs. The Township has a drop box in the lobby of the police/court building at 80 One Mile Road for the collection of these various medications. This special one-day collaborative event with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is intended to focus community attention on the importance and opportunity for secure and responsible disposal of medications. Collected medications will be turned over to the DEA on the next business day for final disposal. The Township maintains a year-round 24/7 accessible permanent medicine drop box in the lobby of the police/court building.
  6. East Windsor Will Hold Free Rabies Clinics for dog and cat owners on Saturday, November 2 from 1 P.M to 3 P.M. at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 (51 One Mile Road) and on Saturday, November 9 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 (69 Twin Rivers Drive). Owners will be required to show a certificate of previous rabies vaccination to receive vaccination of a three-year duration; otherwise vaccinations of one-year duration only will be provided.   7. East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority (EWMUA) Is Conducting Semi-Annual Hydrant Flushing to remove sediment from pipes, monitor water flows and pressures, and provide visual inspection of the hydrants during the hours between 9 A.M. and 3:30 P.M. on the following dates: This schedule is subject to change due to conflicting work that must be done by EWMUA personnel. According to the EWMUA, customers may notice a drop in water pressure or may experience discolored water. At no time will the water quality be compromised, and the water is safe to use.
