1. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Encourage Citizens to Volunteer for Township Boards and Committees. Citizens can apply to serve on the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse. Residents interested in volunteering can obtain an application form from the municipal clerk or can fill out this form (CLICK HERE) and return by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303, or by mail to Mayor Janice S. 2. High School Students Invited to Serve as Student Members of East Windsor Township Boards and Commissions. The boards and commissions included in the program are Commission on Aging, Clean Communities Committee, Economic Development Commission, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Committee and Recreation Commission, as well as the East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse. High school students who wish to be considered should submit a letter indicating their area of interest and reasons or related background, by email to clerk@east-windsor.nj.us, by fax to (609) 443-8303 or by mail to Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Members of the Township Council, East Windsor Municipal Building, 16 Lanning Boulevard, East Windsor, New Jersey 08520.
3. East Windsor Township Encourages Residents to Support and Participate in Womanspace "Communities of Light" Scheduled for Monday, December 2. Citizens and businesses can participate and support Womanspace by purchasing candles, bringing the luminary kits and gathering with local elected officials and police on Monday, December 2 at 5 P.M. to light up the East Windsor Municipal Building. Luminary kits, containing six candles each, can be purchased for $10 at any time at the East Windsor Police/Court Building (80 One Mile Road). All proceeds will go 100% directly to Womanspace, the primary Mercer County organization providing a comprehensive array of services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and is dedicated to improving the quality of life of abuse victims and their families. 4. Annual Windsor-Hightstown Area Ministerium (WHAM) Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service Will Be Held on Sunday, November 24 at 7 P.M. at Meadow Lakes, located at 300 Meadow Lakes. The public is welcome to attend.
5. Final Township Fall Leaf Collection Passes Begin Monday, November 25. Leaf Collection for Area #1 AND Area #2 residents will begin on Monday, November 25 and end on Friday, December 13. The final passes will cover both areas through December 13 or until the first significant snowfall. In prior years, additional passes were made through both areas due to a very successful program and very cooperative weather conditions. Public Works will strive to continue making extra passes in 2024. Leaves may not be put out after Wednesday, December 11 to allow crews to finish the final pass by December 13.
6. All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29. Garbage Collection for Area #1 residents, normally, on Thursday, November 28, will be on the next scheduled collection day of Monday. December 2. Garbage Collection for Area #2 residents, normally on Friday, November 29, will be on the next scheduled collection date of Tuesday, December 3.
