February 7, 2025 - East Windsor Recreation Department Is Accepting Applications for 2025 Summer Camp Positions. The positions include camp supervisors, camp counselors, before and after care camp staff, and (non-paying) counselors-in-training. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Township Recreation Department at (609) 443-4000, ext. 414 or online at (CLICK HERE). Individuals 18 years and older will be subject to a background check. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
- The USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is Hosting a Public Meeting on Thursday, February 20 at 5:30 P.M. to discuss the preparation of a Supplemental Watershed Plan and Environmental Assessment for the Assunpink Creek Watershed Sites in Monmouth and Mercer Counties. The meeting will be held both in-person at the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area Central Region Office (1 Eldridge Rd. Robbinsville Township) and virtually via Zoom. Public input is encouraged by the agency to support the evaluation of formulated alternatives. Comments or questions can be submitted until March 22 by mail or email. There are many ways you can help save a life.
o Learn hand-only CPR. Learn more here (CLICK HERE).
o Know your numbers: start a routine to regularly monitor your blood pressure.
o Eat a balanced diet: consume a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and low-fat dairy products. Limit saturated and trans fats, sodium and added sugars.
o Exercise regularly: engage in physical activity for at least 20 to 25 minutes per day. Walking, cycling, and swimming can help improve cardiovascular fitness.
o Quit Smoking: if you smoke, seek support to quit. Smoking is a major risk factor for heart disease.
o Maintain a healthy weight: achieve and maintain a healthy weight through a combination of balanced eating and regular physical activity.
o Limit alcohol consumption: if you drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Excess alcohol consumption can contribute to heart problems.
o Get adequate sleep: aim for 7 to 9 hours of quality sleep per night.  - All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED and No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Monday, February 17 due to the President's Day Holiday. Garbage Collection for Area #1 residents, normally on Monday, February 17, will be on the next scheduled collection date of Thursday, February 20.
