  1. Congressman Herb Conaway Is Hosting a Town Hall Meeting in East Windsor on Thursday, February 20, from 7:00 P.M to 8:30 P.M. at the Senior Center (40 Lanning Boulevard). The Town Hall meeting is an opportunity for attendees to be updated and discuss issues of interest. To register, scan the QR code on the flyer. Those who pre-register will be able to submit a question for discussion.

  2. Oath of Office Administered by Mayor Janice Mironov to Two New Police Officers, Daniel Rosenberg and David Sandoval. Police Officer Daniel Rosenberg will join the Police Department upon graduation from the Mercer County Police Academy. Police Officer Rosenberg was an IXP 911 Call Center Manager and has worked at the East Windsor Police Department dispatch center for five years. He graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice. Police Officer David Sandoval also will join the East Windsor Police Department upon graduation from the Mercer County Police Academy. Police Officer Sandoval is a lifelong East Windsor resident and graduated from the East Windsor Regional School District Hightstown High School. He is a member of East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company #2. Both Police Officers Rosenberg and Sandoval will be assigned to a Uniform Services Platoon as Probationary Police Officers.

  3. Mayor Janice S. Mironov Proclaimed January Muslim Heritage Month. The Proclamation issued by Mayor Mironov states, "Muslims have directly contributed to the positive growth and progress of the Township and the State in all aspects, including education, music, government, medicine, philosophy, mathematics, literature, culinary culture, architecture and the arts." The Mayoral Proclamation continues, "The Township strives to promote mutual understanding and inclusion among the diversity of religious and ethnic groups and to foster harmony and kindness among everyone within our communities, and . . . . . encourages all residents to learn about and celebrate the contributions of the Muslim community in our Township and our State."

  4. The New Jersey State Development and Redevelopment Plan (SDRP) Is in the Process of Being Updated. The update is being overseen by the New Jersey Office of Planning Advocacy staff and the State Planning Commission (SPC). The SPC approved the Preliminary State Development and Redevelopment Plan on December 4, which was released on December 6. A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 18 at 6 P.M. to 8 P.M at the Mercer County Fire Service Training Center (350 Lawrence Station Road. Lawrenceville, NJ 08648). Attendees will have the opportunity to comment on and provide feedback on the draft Preliminary State Plan. To view the Preliminary draft (CLICK HERE).

  5. East Windsor Township Delivers Food Donated by the Community to Local Food Pantry. Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members sponsored the New Year's Food Drive, asking area residents and businesses to donate non-perishable food items from January through February at the Municipal Building, Police/Court Building, and East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company 2. The food drive benefitted the food pantry of RISE, an area-based organization that provides assistance to local individuals and families.

  6. East Windsor Recreation Department Is Accepting Applications for 2025 Summer Camp Positions. The positions include camp supervisors, camp counselors and before and after care camp staff. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Township Recreation Department at (609) 443-4000, ext. 414 or online at (CLICK HERE). Individuals 18 years and older will be subject to a background check. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
  7. All Township Offices Will Be CLOSED and No Township Curbside Garbage Collection Will Occur on Monday, February 17 due to the President's Day Holiday. Garbage Collection for Area #1 residents, normally on Monday, February 17, will be on the next scheduled collection date of Thursday, February 20.
