  1. Car2Sell Holds Grand Opening Ceremony at New Location, 449 Route 130 North Across from Windsor Center. Car2Sell, which also has locations in Hillside and Queens, New York, offers in-store as well as virtually on-line a broad inventory of new and used cars for sale and will assist with financing.   2. East Windsor Township Mayor and Council Award Bid for Wiltshire Park Pedestrian Bridge Replacement. The Wiltshire Park pedestrian bridge project is funded by a $1.3 Million state grant for parks and recreation improvements, applied for and received by Mayor and Council. The contract was awarded to low bidder, T.R. Weniger Inc. of Piscataway, New Jersey. The project will include removal and replacement of the existing bridge, which spans Bear Creek connecting Wiltshire Park to Hickory Corner Road. The bridge construction is projected to be completed by the end of summer 2025.
  3. Stream Cleanup Co-Sponsored by The Watershed Institute and East Windsor Township Will Be Held on Saturday, April 26, from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. at Etra Lake Park, Rain or Shine. Pre-registration is preferred (CLICK HERE). Volunteers should wear long pants, closed-toed shoes and long sleeves, and bring work gloves. Trash bags will be provided. Adults must accompany minors.   4. LAST CALL: East Windsor Township Soliciting Nominations for Annual "Sylvia Weiss Senior Citizen Award for Outstanding Service as a Volunteer." The Award is to recognize a senior citizen who has exhibited outstanding service through volunteerism to the community by way of the schools, religious institutions, service organizations or directly to the public. This service can be in leadership or in direct service. Nominees must be at least 60 years of age and residents of East Windsor. The award is named after Sylvia Weiss, a former East Windsor Township Council Member, past Council senior citizen advisor and chairperson of the Commission on Aging, who was instrumental in the original formation of the senior citizen program. Local individuals and organizations are encouraged to nominate a senior citizen for this honor. The deadline to submit a nomination is Monday, April 14, 2025.   5. East Windsor Will Participate in Operation Medicine Cabinet on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., offering residents the opportunity to dispose of unused, unwanted and expired prescription medications in an environmentally responsible manner and reducing possible access by unauthorized persons and young people to these drugs. The Township has a drop box in the lobby of the police/court building at 80 One Mile Road for the collection of these various medications. This special one-day collaborative event with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is intended to focus community attention on the importance and opportunity for secure and responsible disposal of medications. Collected medications will be turned over to the DEA on the next business day for final disposal. The Township maintains a year-round 24/7 accessible permanent medicine drop box in the lobby of the police/court building.
  6. The Mercer County Improvement Authority (MCIA) Is Holding Paper Shredding Event on Saturday, April 12 from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. Event to be held in Lot 4 of 651 South Broad Street in Trenton, across the street from the McDade Administration Building. Mercer County residents are permitted to bring up to eight boxes of paper to be shredded. Proof of Mercer County residence is required. For more information call the MCIA at (609) 278-8100.

  7. ALERT: Mercer County Department of Transportation Continues Roadway Improvements to North Main Street (County Route 539) in East Windsor from the Middlesex Countyline South to Town Center Road and Old Cranbury Road from North Main Street to Route 130. During construction, both lanes of North Main Street and Old Cranbury Road will be closed to through traffic from 9 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. Detours are posted to use Town Center Road, Route 130, Hightstown-Cranbury Station Road and Wyckoff Mills Road to avoid the area. Access will be permitted for local residents. Mercer County anticipates completion by Friday, April 18, weather permitting.

  8. PUBLIC NOTICE: East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority (EWMUA) Is Conducting Semi-Annual Hydrant Flushing to remove sediment from pipes, monitor water flows and pressures, and provide visual inspection of the hydrants during overnight hours on the following dates. This schedule is subject to change due to conflicting work that must be done by EWMUA personnel. According to the EWMUA, customers may notice a drop in water pressure or may experience discolored water. At no time will the water quality be compromised, and the water is safe to use.
