TECHNICAL ASSISTANT TO THE CONSTRUCTION OFFICIAL (TACO) – EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, MERCER COUNTY

Is seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Assistant to the Construction Official (TACO) to work in a high permit volume office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working in a municipal building and construction environment, processing and issuing construction permits while ensuring compliance with the provisions of the NJ Uniform Construction Code. Must demonstrate knowledge of applicable regulations, procedures, and state laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to reviewing applications to ensure completeness and accuracy before processing, issuing construction permits after approval, coordinating and scheduling inspections for all inspectors, providing technical information and guidance to the public, maintaining records and files, processing payments, and managing office operations. Experience with archiving and records management is preferred, certification as a Technical Assistant is required or completion of certificate within six months.  Competency using Microsoft Word, Excel and excellent communication skills are required. Familiarity with Spatial Data Logics software is a plus. Salary is commensurate with experience, excellent benefit package. SENIOR ACCOUNTS AND CONTROLS CLERK

East Windsor Township, Mercer County. Full-time position. This position is represented by the Communication Workers of America , Local 1032. Under the direction of the CFO/Finance Director, performs the routine work involved in accounting and satisfying all of the Township Accounts Payable and Cash Receipts. Process purchase requisitions from various departments, process vouchers for payment, prepare bills list and checks, maintain vendor file and budget account file, run monthly, quarterly and yearly budget reports, obtain state-contract pricing on office supply vendors, process daily cash receipts from various departments.  Possession of a valid NJ drivers license , mathematical aptitude required. Experience in operation of Finance Department. Computer literacy and utilization and experience with Edmunds Software program preferred. BUS DRIVERS

East Windsor Township, Mercer County. Full-Time Bus Driver (35 hr work week) and On-Call Part-Time Bus Drivers for the East Windsor Township Senior Center. The Bus is used to transport participants to various area location appointments, as well as trips for recreational purposes. Oversees use of Bus per Township schedule and requirements. Requires a valid New Jersey Bus Drivers License with CDL Class A or B License with a passenger endorsement. SEASONAL EMPLOYEE - PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT 

40-hour work week, working outdoors, performing manual heavy labor in all weather conditions. Limited employment durations and release at the end of the season is expected.
